Its a great catch and not even close to an accident for sure. They were trying to translate and idea that comes up in the books several times. And that is when Harry gets the and I quote "distinct" feeling that Snape can read his thoughts. Interestingly enough in the 5th book, Snape attempts to teach Harry how to lock people out of his mind so Voldemort cant see Harrys thoughts anymore. I love Snape. His character has an insane amount of depth and the story would not be the same without him.

@@Wurzelknecht so why does nobody constantly bring up that snape was an evil death eater? They just say he’s a hogwarts teacher and Dumbledore trusts him. It’s because a person isn’t defined by how they act for a couple of years of their life. Same story with Dumbledore
@Wurzelknecht
2 жыл бұрын
@@conormurphy4328 Not the same story here. And it's not about "constantly" bringing something up. It's about a boy wanting to learn about his dad and since he's only told the good things, he begins to think his dad was some kind of saint. So of course when somebody he doesn't like to begin with brings up some negative stuff about his dad, Harry immediately thinks he's lying. Btw. I still think that Rowling missed the opportunity actually showing us anything of the good side of James Potter. Everyone just keeps talking about how awesome he was, but all we actually know is that he was dumb enough to leave his wand lying around the house when the most dangerous wizard in existance was looking for him all over the place. So I gotta admit, James left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth after the last book, because we never actually see his redemption. The last few things we learn about him personality-wise is how much of a dick he was to Severus as a kid and that he was partially to blame for ending his and Lily's friendship. With Snape and Dumbledore we actually see them turn over a new leaf and do good. With James it's just never adressed. I know he probably was a decent guy in the end, but from a narrative standpoint, it's never shown. Hell, Draco gets more redeeming moments than James tbh.

He wasn't protecting Harry out of the goodness of his heart. In fact, he still despised Harry. He only didn't want him to die because he was Lily's son, and Snape was still creepily weird about her even years after her death. Snape made Harry and the other students feel msierable their whole lifes, he shouldn't get a thank you for doing the bare minimum.
Snape will always be my favourite character. His dry humour, his storyline, everything was perfectly written and Alan played him so well.

Give a crap anyways 😉 he's a awsome and truly appreciate, caring Guy so there anyway 😀😉 That's my opinion on Severus Snape He's a darling 😘 of hardworking and dedicated professor of school 🏫 💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️😁😎😘

Snape fixing his sleaves before going to business on Harry and Ron will always be one of my most favourite scenes with him, so damn funny. Despite being such a grim and serious man, he does like to be a little extra. Be it this scene in the Great Hall or for another example all the fast and dramatic turns he does and it's hillarious to me.
