This just tells me its not ready. I did some research and this bad boy needs 80w to push the power it needs to compete with apple. I hope they deliver eventually.

@@kevenCodes honestly not all will benefit of they beat or match apple , it will be better to be in more hands, availability and diversity in devices meeting everyone's use case we don't care about chasing apple's fast benchmark scores as much as arm architecture have to come out for others to use other than apple devices

Man, I can't wait for Qualcomm to release this for tablets with Windows OS, or Steam Deck alternatives for portable gaming! I just hope portable gaming PCs will be a lot cheaper using this all-in-1 chip! I can already imagine me buying an affordable X-Elite-powered tablet with Windows OS and running Steam Games on it! Connect an ultra slim keyboard and mouse and you're now go for gaming anywhere!!! This will revolutionize the PC market! we want to know what OS you offer, what programs are ready to run on your processor? In the trailer you showed an electronic musician, what DAWs and VSTs will work with your chip? when can we expect technical details, when can we expect laptops based on this chip?

It needs OS support and talks are that Microsoft is building next Gen ARM support on its upcoming OS paving way for NVidia and other's ARM as well. Expecting these on March end to April (Microsoft might throw Surface event in that)

Unified memory like what apple did with their arm laptops is the future IMO. You can just get a big memory laptop that can fit both ram and vram.

I need to know anticipated transistor count to decide if you the chip is actually better architecture, for instance, M2ultra has 10x transistor counts of x86 and STILL doesn't outperform the counterparts, Apple design team is pathetic using that many resources to still be 3rd rate at everything but instruction per watt, (only important in mobility and servers) M3 uses 25 billion transistors, 7945hx uses 13 billion and crushes it. RAM on SoC is not figured into that count. I'm hoping first gen x elite uses less than 25 billion, possibly only 15 biillion? IF Qualcomm has better IPT, (instruction per transistor) it ACTUALLY demonstrates ARM instruction set is catching up, instead of market driven make believe. Apple makes believe ARM's better, like -putting 2 boxers in the ring against ALI and claiming your program is better because you did marginally well

it seems to me that it is like a truck that everyone has "seen" but does not want to own. I would like something "new", if we are talking about "new processors", but the main question arises - a huge database of old programs and old files... that's why I wrote about "Pentium".

@olpkol well Windows 12 is coming and snapdragon X elite has fast npu , Microsoft is gonna implement many a.i features into Windows 12 and if you use video or image editing programs a powerful npu will be more and more important from now on kinda like a gpu

X ELITE with airjet Cooling from frore systems for laptop or PC will be mind blowing
