Snap! Two Doctors Meet | Doctor Who | The Two Doctors
Ойын-сауық
In the cellar, Sontaran Stike threatens to kill Jamie unless the Sixth Doctor gets into the module and primes it with his symbiotic print. Stike is about to execute Jamie anyway, but Jamie stabs Stike's leg with a concealed knife, and the Doctor and he run off upstairs, where they find the Second Doctor. Before they can release the Second Doctor and escape the hacienda, however, Shockeye shows up with the unconscious Peri. The Second Doctor feigns unconsciousness while the others hide. This story upsets me so much. I've never seen such devotion to a character before. I adore how many times Patrick Troughton returned to Doctor Who, even just 2 years before his death he came back for another appearance as his beloved 2nd Doctor and he went on promoting this show even till the day before his death. Now I forever have 3 holes in my heart knowing I'll never get to meet William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton or Jon Pertwee.

William Morrison The early psychosis that involved him strangling Peri also makes complete sense when you consider what he had just been through as Five: for an entire incarnation, he tried to be empathetic and kind rather than alien, and the universe threw it back in his face. Then, as he died in pain, he was reminded of all the people he'd let down, and was taunted by an enemy he thought dead. It's completely understandable that after that, he might be just a little bit unstable. And, of course, he deals with all that by throwing off the facade, and is unashamedly an incisive, brilliant and moralistic alien. I love Six because I see him as the Doctor in his purest form: he doesn't pretend to be anything else, and if people don't like that, tough.

I would love to see a regular episode have a Muti-Doctor adventure like this, with just two Doctors involved. With the amount of time travelling the Doctor does, one would expect these kinds of encounters to happen more often.
@julieeverett7442
4 жыл бұрын
no they actually cant, the first law of time forbids time lords crossing their own time streams, if you look at the multi doctor stories they are ALL there at the hands of others the three doctors the time lords took 1 and 2 out of their time line to help three the five doctors some one was taking the doctors out of their time and dropping them in the dead zone in the day of the doctor the moment opened a door between their time lines
Seriously, I love the classic multi-Doctor stories, all three of them. This one has my two favourite Doctors, though, so naturally it's probably the best for me, but I can't say for sure.

SOOOOO glad somebody else noticed this. Every time I watch classic who, it is blighted by supposedly malevolent characters wearing either large trainspotter 80's glasses, or something from Dame Edna's private spectacle collection. Nyder is the worse example. Dressed head to toe as a space Nazi, and then he has those goofy, over-sized poindexter bifocals that takes you right out of the moment. Once you realise how much of a pandemic they were, you won't be able to not see them all over the 70's and 80's stuff.

I finished watching this yesterday on DVD and I loved it. For all of those who say this is rubbish clearly aren’t Doctor Who fans.
Luke: WHAT HAVE U DONE?! Colin Baker: Well, the weakness is at their knees...(many years later) Tennant: Well, it is their Back now...
First of all, I'd like to note that I think the Sontarens look hilarious regardless of improvements in technology and costumes and so on. They just always look like baked spuds. Actually technology has only emphasised this image. Second, I actually like this Doctor, just for being the sixth Doctor and he was actually very good. Each Doctor carries aspects of those before them. Think about some of Six's first lines, I think he probably sounded like earlier Doctors. He was a bit younger and so he was a bit more energetic like Five, with an older brother air about him, though in this Doctor's case it was probably much older brother. Maybe uncle status? Hmmm
Man, Patrick was from the black and white era, and he's still making appearances in the later series of the sixth Doctor.

CaruCath97 nah, six would still have gone inside. He even later reveals that it was all part of his plan
pause after half a second and it sounds like he says I am Groot
I’m currently going through the classic era, I’m super excited to get to six. I just finished two so it’s good to see my second favorite dynamic duo again.

Ironically it was the only episode she actually wanted them out
Okay, 1: Since when did the Sontarans look like freaking wolverine-potatoes? 2: I love how the Second Doctor is all like, "Naturally. I don't expect any thanks." He knows himself so well.

Oh I don’t freaking know maybe back than they didn’t have what we have today and different effects and technology
Plus, Colin was a huge fan of Troughton, so he was of course delighted to work with his idol.
Shows just how much Troughton enjoyed the show that he came back three times.
How can one be afraid of an alien that looks like a Mr. Potato Head?
I love that vest!
I saw this episode when I was very, very young and I remember it very vividly
Considering how old this is, its very good. Dr Who will always be the best thing the BBC ever made
Well the sontarans have certainly shrunk over the years...

rzg101 The Sontarans in "The Two Doctors" are dreadful - costume, make-up and voices are rubbish and they are far too tall (I think Doctor 3 describes them in The Time Warrior as "nasty, brutish, and short"). Some fans, in post hoc explanation, have speculated that the Two Doctors ones must be a mutant clone batch! I still think Kevin Lindsay's original Sontaran, Lynx, in "The Time Warrior" is the best (although the new series Strax is a lot of fun).
2:35 Died laughing
2nd Doctor: “Snap!” 6th Doctor: *duck quack*
I love the music in this story
So they were always large potatoes
I still look pretty good
This story was the return of Robert holmes writing Patrick and Frazer since the Krotons. Dont forget that.
2: snap! 6: baby gator laser noise

Melissa Hash No he isn't.
I would think toting Peri around could be rather pleasant. Jamie's back in the tartan and the second Doctor remains his irascible self. And the Potato Heads are full of themselves, as usual.
Even though he would pass away a year later, Patrick Troughton delivers one final amazing role as the Second Doctor and Jamie is a nice inclusion.

Sontarans preventing the course of human history!*
Wheeling the tied up Doctor in a chair , and there are stairs, I wanted to shout "Worst Rescue Ever ! " LMAO - it's so obvious the writers got that scene from this - that's why I love Doctor Who - It's timeless ! they recycle so much as homage to the predecessors but manage to make it original and new every generation - or regeneration for that matter. hihi
Doctor: RUN, JAMIE! The Sixth Doctor didn't realize what a trendsetter he would be. Nowadays there's so much running it's become a running gag.
How the F did Frazer Hines not age?!
