If you run across a 4 or 5-foot-long diamondback rattlesnake or a water mocassin, hit it with the hot sauce. It is nonlethal but makes them very disinterested in you. I like Sabre Red in the stream type. Most cold or warm-blooded animals do not tolerate pepper spray. that is why it is used in Bear Spray but in a lower concentration than human pepper spray. But I always have a Ruger or Colt right hip loaded with CCI Snakeshot.

I really amazed you guys don't run into more snakes than you show. I do agree with making sure it did not go into the next yard with the kids but as fat as that snake looked it was eating well. Hope the mice and rat population does not benefit from the snake being gone. I live in the city and have had garden snakes it my yard and found 1 in my basement twice. When I was young and would visit family in the country, they always kept a hoe by the door. They would open the door and find large snakes sunbathing on the steps to warm up often.

I would have done the same thing. I have actually relocated several snakes in the past. One venomous and one non venomous snake. We need these snakes keep the rodent population down. I understand you needing to protect the children. Next time consider calling for someone to capture and relocate it. You all did great work. If you noticed the snake moved away from you. It didn’t want to confront you. Stay safe and keep your community safe and cleaned.

@@lindaarbogast6499 I don't think they had time for that as he was racing off to where Children were. I am all for keeping snakes around even gone as far as protecting rattlesnakes on the bike trails here as they keep vermin down. You don't want bit especially a child. Coolest thing I ever got to experience was a idiot jogger pestering a rattler who had his mouth open warning the idiot, chased the jogger away snake darted under the little culvert I was standing on peaked his head back up at me and looked at men and went back in lol. Should have let Chad get bit lol.
