This movie was a major throwback. Not just to the 90s, but to a time when movies did not have a cringy MESSAGE. Just a slice of life movie that people can actually relate to.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It's truly special. I wouldn't say it doesn't have a message. It's just not a "take down the government" message lol

Thank you for putting this movie on my radar. I can't wait to check it out, there should be more coming of age stories starring Young boys. I can understand why so many teen characters swear in movies, as it happens in real life as well, and adds a sense of realism. I also love seeing Nick Robinson pop up in supporting roles.

I love this movie! I was an extra in 3 of the scenes; filming was so much fun, and working with Conor and Gabriel was fantastic. I've seen the movie 3 times in the last 4 days, and can't wait to see it again!

the "shit pig" thing took me out of every scene w/Brooke & AJ. it was sooo painfully lame. i still enjoyed the movie, but desperately hated that part.

Decent movie but hard to believe they're only 14. Nobody has that much drama at that young. Or runs a business. Or can handle their liquor and be in a love triangle

You should watch Sarah's interview with the Director on @thathashtagshow The majority was based on his actual life at that age lol Personally, at 14 I had of course never been drinking with my friends in the woods or houses for at least 2 years...that would be absurd lol I did run 2 businesses. Well, I guess 1 1/2 since I was managing my older brother's paper route not actually doing the route with zero help from adults. I'm not sure what other drama you're referring to - someone close to them dying? I lost 2 grandparents by the age of 8. 90s kids were just raised differently.

Really just depends how someone grows up. You’re a product of your environment and sometimes that has a teenager aging at a much quicker rate.
