Plot:
The four Smurfs, Smurfette, Brainy, Hefty, and Clumsy reach a river where they sail on a handmade raft. Following a brief chase, Gargamel is thrown out of his own raft, and the Smurfs save him. Instead of thanking them, he pushes them out of their own raft, and they plunge down a waterfall.

Gargamel is an excellent swimmer. in the 80s show he fell into the water and swam more than once. There was even an episode where he swam underwater with a snorkel. and in the 2011 film, when he came through a portal to New York and found himself in a lake in a city park, he himself swam ashore. Gargamel is a sorcerer and not a witch, so he can swim perfectly
