lsdmagazinetv1 , fine art technique called, Grisaille Lay down your shadows, and important shapes, then paint over the black and white with color.
Why did he lay down that gray first ???☝️

artists tend to lay down an outline/sketch first in a neutral colour before starting with the actual end colours.
