I'm in my 70s and live alone. And it's so easy to think back on all the episodes in my life and feel (as it says below) "useless and bad." It's so easy to do. Then, somehow, I manage to laugh at all the absurdities happening even now, day-to-day. I find humor (about/at myself) which makes all the regret go away. I laugh out loud. The absurdity itself is something to laugh at, not to regret or feel contrite about. We are what we are, the past is dead and gone, and we're here to celebrate what we "can" be now. Enjoy the music, don't let the past tell you "who you are" today, and take back the night. Most of all, laugh more, smile more, and appreciate the small gifts - like this music.

It's a Friday night in NYC... You finished a busy work week and looking forward for a relaxing weekend. Your colleagues invited you out for drinks but you decided to stay home instead at your cozy appartment overlooking Manhattan. It's cold outside.. You go to bed a little bit before midnight and you doze off reading a Haruki Murakami book. Just before 3am you wake up. It's snowing. You watch the snow flakes falling slowly in front of the city night skyline. You can't fall asleep. You choose an ambient Jazz soundtrack and you keep watching the snowflakes falling in front of your big window. Alone but with peace of mind. You realize how beautiful but short life is. Should you have been with her instead? No.. You appreciate the beauty of solitude in those moments. The night is passing. The distant sounds of the cars below and the lights of the buildings is the only thing that reminds you that there is life out there. The music makes you relaxed. You doze off again...

@@mermaidseahorse4596 it’s made from very specific grape varietals, aged in very particular wood barrels that are only from certain forests, distilled once and is not diluted with water (as is cognac).Oxygen does not degrade it as it does wine. The bottles are stored upright because cork can negatively impact it. it is reputed to be the oldest spirit in Europe and yes, it’s French. Aromas you may ask? Well, “sandalwood, nougat, dried vanilla, warm butterscotch, a touch of licorice bark and dried fruits, such as fig and apricot”. There you have it!

As go into possibly my last night on earth I'm glad I found this beautiful music to relax me and help me accept my faith of a shortened life. Wish the best for everyone in this big gorgeous world 🌎 send love to all the people of this beautiful Earth.

I grew up in a Chicago suburbs raised on Peanuts and Goosebumps by a smart and independent Italian American mother. My past times were window shopping for bath stuff at JC Penney and Sears in a local two story shopping mall as well as eating delicious food and playing with sticks as lightsabers and I also because a dead eye with a Hunting slingshot (not hunting but shooting bottles and cardboard). I miss my spooky low income neighborhood of my youth. Times were so much better then, no worries about making the ends meet or living under the authority of tyrannical politicians. Light Jazz was my city's de facto soundtrack and hearing this helps me take my mind off of the worries brought my way by the hectic atmosphere of the 2020s.
