I was born 84. Think it was very early 90's by the time I first heard this. Been a huge fan ever since. I used to watch the film all the time when I was a kid, drove my mum & dad dotty with it. I'm about to turn 40 in July. Where does the time go at all.

The snare and bass are mastered to be a lot cleaner, which just intensifies the rhythm imo.

Back in 1988, I was a kid, I did not have the money to buy the CD and the vinyl. In the Philippines, the trend was the cassette tape! So, I rushed to the nearest record store in our area and bought the tape, says BASF on the upper portion. Years later, when I had a job, I bought the CD and the vinyl itself, which I still kept in my collection of CD's and records. I love MJ!

This song will always go down as one of the greatest classics of all time. Even if I have no idea what a bunch of the lyrics actually are. What the hell is a "shin-dome?"

Ferrarist Probably because it was too long. His label felt his songs went on for too long & wouldn’t fit on the records. To compensate, they basically butchered the final versions of his music in order to get them out to us. I think it was fucked up they did this, but at least we have the power now to enjoy the music as Michael originally intended it to be.

The saddest thing is that his music went quickly out of fashion. He simply was a product of the 80s and somehow late 70s craze. Don't get me wrong l grew up with the guy...buy wish his music was somehow was rediscovered and rejuvenated through other artists after his death. As If MJ's throne was even meant to be passed on the minute He touched the crown.
