U must be in a very hot part of the world looking at the state of your gatoring on the foam. Maybe add some naca ducts to scoops some cooling air into ur battery bay. I think that 120A esc is better at 8s than it is 6s. I also think the 100A in the 80s is barely adequate. Amp pulls on the newer motor is 120A plus.

Might want to consider to lower the timing like I did. The ESC manual says the stock timing is 15 degrees but it could be even set to 20 on some models like they did eg. on the Zeus. An inrunners should have a much lower timing like 4 or 6 degrees. Greetings from Belgium 🍻

Not necessarily. I play around with my ESC and set the timing depending on the Amps and watts produced. Measure temps after flights. Some planes I'm at 30° like my F22 6s and some I'm at 15 abd some 5°. Depends on the plane design, the number of blades, the cells used, etc etc. Also if u are in a hot country etc.

@@M4rkmcc21 When I lowered the timing on the J-10 my lipos came out noticeable cooler. Also, the quality brands inrunner EDF systems like Wemotec, JetFan, Schubeler, ... will recommend you to use low timing for longest lifetime and optimum efficiency. Timing is mostly dependent on the number of poles in a motor.
