I grew up in Jonesboro. My father helped tow the cars from the Flint jump. I moved and worked for over 30 years as a Law Man in McDonough. Surrounded by the Bandit’s stomping grounds most of my life.

Brilliant video! Been a fan of these films since i was about 10 years old (i`m now 52)
I went to Forest Park high school… I remember wicks lumber and hickory house very well. my grandmother graduated from the only school in the county in McDonough Georgia 1941. Go through McDonough almost daily. The movie has also has a shot of the first Real estate I went to work with it’s a yellow sign called tara properties. After all these years, I’m still in real estate . The building still there even though the real estate office is not there anymore. I sold Sonny Shroyers house and went deep-sea fishing in Destin Florida with Sonny. Hell of a nice guy. The boat we chartered had Vietnam vet that they had lost his legs… we called him Lieutenant Dan. For those that don’t know Sonny was Bear Bryant in the movie. The car wash in the background with Jackie Gleeson. with all the flags flying and the background… is also there still there I go through Jonesboro, Georgia daily. I feel very connected to that movie. Blessings all.
I think it's pretty cool how you break down all of those locations in the TV shows and movies! It's sad how they've changed, but it's still pretty cool how you carry out those videos.

Those two Smokey and the bandit impersonators are the best ive ever seen. Im subbed to their youtube channel.
I’m from this area of Georgia. About 15 years ago, I was at the hq location where a close family friend worked. It was a heavy machinery trucking company. They had the forklift that snowman and the bandit used to load the beer. The same one that you see in the movie. The owner bought it from the crew after filming stopped

Cool video! It would have been neat to go to those locations back in the 90s or 80s when things wouldn't have changed so much. Or even better yet, back in 77 right after the film was made. In 1990 I thought they filmed that stuff in Texarkana so I looked for locations there, unaware that none of it was shot there

Thank you so much! The movie was extremely low budget for what it really is. Everything was shot within a couple mile radius, and the director Hal Needham really went the extra mile in making the film for just $1million. You should make a trip down to Jonesboro Georgia and go see some of these spots. About 30 minutes north of Jonesboro is Covington. I did another video showcasing the Dukes of Hazzard Filming Locations in Covington Georgia. You should go check that out!

Thank you so much for the facts about the general lee it really helped me make mine in forza horizon five and I went for that Georgia looking design and you can make a general lee that's way better in forza horizon 5 than in gta5 but due to the whole thing about the rebel flag you can't have it on any if your cars or else you will be banned but people have made some rebel flag variants with the same colors and everything but people make the flags to not look like the flag if that makes sense @ChunkeyMonkey40
