I grew up in Jonesboro. My father helped tow the cars from the Flint jump. I moved and worked for over 30 years as a Law Man in McDonough. Surrounded by the Bandit’s stomping grounds most of my life.

I went to Forest Park high school… I remember wicks lumber and hickory house very well. my grandmother graduated from the only school in the county in McDonough Georgia 1941. Go through McDonough almost daily. The movie has also has a shot of the first Real estate I went to work with it’s a yellow sign called tara properties. After all these years, I’m still in real estate . The building still there even though the real estate office is not there anymore. I sold Sonny Shroyers house and went deep-sea fishing in Destin Florida with Sonny. Hell of a nice guy. The boat we chartered had Vietnam vet that they had lost his legs… we called him Lieutenant Dan. For those that don’t know Sonny was Bear Bryant in the movie. The car wash in the background with Jackie Gleeson. with all the flags flying and the background… is also there still there I go through Jonesboro, Georgia daily. I feel very connected to that movie. Blessings all.

I’m from this area of Georgia. About 15 years ago, I was at the hq location where a close family friend worked. It was a heavy machinery trucking company. They had the forklift that snowman and the bandit used to load the beer. The same one that you see in the movie. The owner bought it from the crew after filming stopped

I believe one of them is owned by the AMC studio that produces The Walking Dead. I do know that one of them was on TWD

OMG, John Schneider was an EXTRA, he didn't have a role! The other 2 Dukes guys, yes, they had small roles. But Schneider, no.

Technically, being an extra is a role. Your role is to stand there and look pretty. Basically the same thing Sally Field did in the movie 🤣

Yeah haha but hell if I got 6 hours to spare one day and I'm not living out of a pickup truck I would 🤣 idk how far back you have watched in the Traveler series, but last year I spent 28 days living out of the bed of my truck, travelling all around the country. It was a blast, I wanted to travel but with the high gas prices I didn't wanna pay for a hotel room, so I just put a mattress in the truck bed and hit the road haha!

How many of y’all were actually there on scene hiding in the woods watching while buddy Joe hooker, and his jet powered car the Trans Am jumped the river 300 feet at the old bridge. I was. I was there hiding in the woods, skipping school in those woods all the time.

Thank you so much for the facts about the general lee it really helped me make mine in forza horizon five and I went for that Georgia looking design and you can make a general lee that's way better in forza horizon 5 than in gta5 but due to the whole thing about the rebel flag you can't have it on any if your cars or else you will be banned but people have made some rebel flag variants with the same colors and everything but people make the flags to not look like the flag if that makes sense @ChunkeyMonkey40
