Kent, I recently found your channel and so enjoy your videos. The way in which you are helping to preserve the traditions and heritage of the cowboy are great. As a veteran I also appreciate the love and support you show to our country and it’s military. I am in month 3 of a 6 month recovery from another surgery due to an injury I sustained in Afghanistan. Your videos have provided me with an enjoyable way to pass some time. Another great man and friend who is using his talent to preserve and share the cowboy life is a singer/songwriter by the name of Brenn Hill from Utah. Just thought you and some of your viewers would appreciate his music. Thanks again for what you are sharing with the world.

Amen! Kent you're so cute in your green & red and Shannon, I love the wagon decorations and I'll tell ya what, when that old beagle's time on earth is up, I'm gonna cry like my own dog died. MERRY CHRISTMAS to y'all & thank you for another year "together". And that ham bone is gonna be SO GOOD in a pot of beans!!

Thank you so much, Kent; I'm sure that ham tastes Heavenly! I gotta figure a way to make one now; won't be for Christmas, but I'll still figure a way to make one. My late husband was a Vet, he wound up contracting cancer from Agent Orange, when he was stationed in Vietnam, during the war there in the mid 60's. He had cancer 3 times & the 3rd time, it took his life; he was just 51 years old when he passed away, 25 years ago this month. I still miss him dearly every single day; he was not only my husband, but my very best friend. I love your channel & I have your cookbook & have tried recipes from it already & really loved them. Thank you for helping us cook more flavorful foods, the cowboy way, my favorite! Bless you & your wife & family & may you all have a wonderful Christmas together. Happy Birthday, Jesus! Thank you so much for sharing with us too. 😊🙏💖🎄🎋🐷

Kent, I have used a Coca-Cola-based glaze before. Most of the Coke available in the USA contains high fructose corn syrup for a sweetener. It is best to use Mexican Coke, usually available in many supermarkets, because it has pure cane sugar for a sweetener. It makes for a sweeter and more efficient glaze. BTW, this is an awesome recipe and I will be using it the next time I cook a ham.

Hey Kent, another way to make a good ham is to glaze with equal parts yellow mustard and brown sugar and just bake it. This also works well on corned beef, but you need to wrap it in foil before baking, then finish without the foil for the last little bit! Not my idea/technique but it is shared with Love! Merry Xmas to you, Shan and the great quality control staff!

Kent…this is the best smoked ham recipe around! I’ve made several smoked hams over the years but this one is by far the best. While my wife carved this up for dinner she (and I) couldn’t help but sample it right off the carving board. Maximum tail wags from her and me long before it was served at the dinner table. Great job!

Made this today and took it to my neighbors.. my old my were they surprised how good ham could be! Heard over and over “it’s got a crust!”. Thanks Kent - this one went into the recipe box!!!
