i have to say... in 1973.. the Paiutes came to our commune in Oregon... taught us the traditional Sweatlodge... and the Peyote ceremony in one of our tipi's ... Why.... because we were whites already living in nature... they knew we were connected, ... family... and it is still that way today... only a half century later...

@@karlabellanger8914 The hippies were all about peace and being one with nature. They smoked mamajuana and passed the blunt around like a peace pipe. They believed in sweat lodges and finding your spirit guide. A lot of Indigenous beliefs wrapped up in the hippies beliefs.

Every native has seen this before 😂😂I love Thomas 😂🤙

Exactly. It's really sad when Victor finally has enough and starts bullying Thomas. Thomas voice and energy throughout this entire movie is just beautiful and amazing to watch.

my husband showed this movie to me. i had loved it ever since. i LOVE gary farmer. he is my favorite native actor. i love the way thomas shows unconditional love to victor. true love man

Gary Farmer is currently in "Reservation Dogs" on Hulu!! He's a gem! That entire series is just fantastic. I am swooning over it.

Outstanding movie, loved it. Filled with symbolism. The part with the car that only backed up was right on the money.

Gabriel constantin my dad is friends with him, and i watched this movie 2 years ago (when i was in 6th grade), and i got to meet him too! Hes a really nice guy and he said hes happy i liked the movie

I just watched this movie for the 2nd time - the first time was more than 15yr ago when it first came out. I was impressed all over again. Great movie!

Watching this movie yet again right now. It's at the end. This is such a good movie. Great performances by all of the actors.

I was the only Native kid in my entire middle school and on the first day I transferred there in my reading class they were going into Native American hertiage month. My teacher said we are going to watch a movie on Native Americans and I assume it was a documentary or something.... NO, MY TEACHER FREAKING PUT THIS MOVIE IN AND I HOLLARD! I was like "I seen this movie a million times! I love this movie and so does every indian out there!" I ended up making my entire class frybread and teaching for a month of Native history... Ever since I get asked from the kids in that class to make them a batch of frybread, they even say they will pay me to make them for them! 😂💀💀

The little guy who played young thomas was also just as good

I love this movie. We watched it in 9th grade Spanish class. My teacher Mr. Flores used to show us some great movies. We also watched "La Misma Luna".

Watching this in 2021 and I still love it😂
