I received my bumper today. I found this video just prior to starting the install this evening. It was a tremendous help because the written instructions leave alot to be desired. The bumper is on tonight. In the morning I start installing the front one.

Smittyville excellent job in the video, the person doing it was the right man for the job kept it sweet and simple, maybe you should think about eliminating the paper and just sending a link to the video. Thank you

If you are looking to wire these lights up to an auxiliary switch like an S-Pod Switch hub, just wire the blue cable to power, and black to ground, should turn right on with the flip of a switch.

Can this bumper be installed without the mounting kit from Smittybuilt? I have a new bumper and can not get the mounting kit from Smittybilt.

Only thing missing is how to wire up the rear lights? What I want to do is add them to my backup, not a switch. “UPDATE” - rear backup lights will not work by tapping into the wiring harness. They are not bright enough, very dim. Need a relay with power straight from the battery.

Man, f@#$ that nut strip that goes inside the frame with the wire attached to it lol. You made that look waaay to easy to get in. Great video btw. Maybe I'll tackle the tire carrier tomorrow..

My backup lights are always on and drivers behind me are getting pissed constantly. I bought the car with this already installed. Any help would be appreciated!

Hahaha, that would be annoying. I assume you already got this fixed but just in case, the previous owner probably wired the lights into your running lights (the red lights in the rear that come on when your lights are on) instead of your reverse lights. You gotta find where they spliced the wires and undue that. I’d suggest looking behind the brake lights, the driver side one is particularly easy to run a line too from the rear bumper.
