Smitty Gatlin Trio - Let Me Touch Him

Музыка

Smitty Gatlin was one of the smoothest and best-loved lead singers in Southern Gospel music. Began his career with the Country Boys, a group he formed after Wally Fowler chose him to form and manage the Country Boys. It was on a suggestion by Fowler that Smitty and his recruits to form a new version of the recently-disbanded Oak Ridge Quartet. A committed Christian, Gatlin's struggle to serve his Lord ultimately led him to leave the Oaks in 1966 in order to accept a position as minister of music at the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas.. A few years later Smitty formed the Smitty Gatlin Trio. We lost Smitty way to early at the age of 37 in 1972 following a bout with Cancer. The other members of the Trio are Bill Baize - Tenor and Bill Monroe -- Baritone. This is from the "Exciting Sounds Of" LP from 1967

Let Me Touch Him Lyrics Let me touch Him, let me touch Jesus Let me touch Him as He passes by So when I shall reach out to others They shall know him They shall live and not die Chorus Oh to be His hand extended, Reaching out to the oppressed. Let me touch Him, let me touch Jesus, So that others may know and be blessed. II I was straying so far from Jesus I was lonely, had no peace within Then the hand of my savior touched me Now I'm reaching to others in sin III There's a river, a river flowing From within and to cleanse my soul And the flow sets my heart to glowing Holy spirit, more than silver or gold.

What will we say when we stand before the throne of judgement.God loves us and Jesus died for us to be forgiven. Please accept Jesus as your Savior.

Love these guys, BUT I wish the recording budget had been larger. Just not a good mix/blend, something.

This was probably from the 1970s. At least it's understandable and you don't have to turn your speakers wide open.
