I use little fishing tackle box trays to store and transport moon clips. The trays fit in my medium size range bag and each one holds 24 moon clips. Factory 38s are about the longest that will fit in the ones I have. Each clip is protected from being bent, works great. Find you a tray that holds your ammo and then find a bag to fit the tray and you'll be set.

I buddy rigged up some pegs like yours, he digs it. The sloppiest I've seen are a husband and wife pair of sponsored wheel gunners who just throw theirs in a bag and roll with it. When you're as good as those 2, you can do what you want.

I have a 627 V-Comp. Had one of the TK Custom moon clip loaders from shooting a 686+ PC. It is a 7 shot 686 with a cyclinder cut for moon clips. Turns out you can just buy a another mandrel for the TKC loader that allows you to load 625, 686+ and 627 moon clips. The different size mandrels are held on from the back with a screw. I have that exact same box for carrying moon clips. I just put a folded clean bar towel in the bottom and stack the moon clips bullets down. There is enough give in the towel they stay in place. Put another towel folded on top of those and I can have layer 2. A couple of years back moon clips were dirt cheap. So I bought a bunch. If one gets bent chuck it. They are impossible to fix. BMT makes a nice loader that is caliber and model specific but they don't give it away.

I’ve shot a 627 in 3 gun firing pudd loads. It was like shooting a .22lr. If you do go this way keep a few .38+P or .357 magnum rings handy for knock down targets. (The 929 is probably a better choice though but I had access to the 327 so that what I shot). I used to shoot with a couple of weird guys who were so good that it was a competition to them so they would buy a box of crap guns and show up cold with them to shoot. I’m not the greatest competition myself but they would offer other people their random guns, (always checked by a gunsmith for safety) and one time that 627 was in the box. I shot it in 3 events before the owner sold it for a mystery box of Norinco clones.

Be advised, there is a lot of ammo out there that won’t load into the TK clips...you’ll bend and break three to load one and probably bend that one the next time you use it. TK is GREAT with product returns, but I recommend the SpeedBeez 8 round clips (.38 special/.357 mag) and an Original Precision mooner (www.originalprecision.com/universal-moonclip-tool.html). If you’re running anything but pretty much super premium ammo, you’re going to bend/break these things. Know, too, that the SpeedBeez are pricey, but worth it.

I ran a variety of brass in these clips and had no problems. I've got some of the thicker steel ones that were picky, but these thinner ones took everything I had but the aluminum cased stuff.

I'm more of a speedloader guy. And I've never been a fan of the 627, mainly because of the barrel shape. But this whole system has me rethinking my philosophy. Guess ill just have to get an eight shot revolver and some TK custom tools. You know, in the name of objectivity lol

@@jamespugh what's a royal king? isn't that like a redundant name? Walmart sucks so bad going in there now... I don't wanna if I don't have to. they don't sell handguns any more anyway, least the one nearest me doesn't. While I prefer long guns or at least carbines for general use, they're unweildy for home defense and concealed or even open carry. One pawn shop had a relatively cheap 12 gauge, but the barrel must have been at least 4 feet long. I didn't look at it closely just too impractical for my present needs. I have a very old well used Colt 45, but it's getting long in the tooth, it really needs some shop time and new parts.. by the time I did all that, I'd have the price of a new one in it, at least. I know the Hi Point isn't the best, but it will do the job and fits my hand well. Shoulda bought it when I had the chance but I was tapped from putting tires on my Suv, when did tires get so damn expensive? I'll find something. heck a decent 38 Special revolver will do, if I can find one with the right grips or the right grips to fit it. Standard grips don't do it for my large hands. Hell I could even make grips for it as far as that goes.

Alguém poderia me dizer se já aconteceu de explodir o tambor deste revólver por disparar um tiro por cima de bala entalada no cano? Já vi Taurus em titânio explodindo totalmente.
