Smith and Musty were great to watch at the scrimmage. They will be a joy together.

Nothing like watching what Grier and his guys have been up to. Stackin picks and letting them mature naturally. Way to go Grier

Love seeing Jumbo & Patty on the benches. It’s great to see the core Sharks all back at the Tank together.

I was super impressed with Eric Pohlkamp. He's had a great camp and in this scrimmage, he really stood out again. I can't wait to watch him more next season at Denver University (he transferred from Bemidji State). The transfer reason was for a further challenge since DU are always competing for a national title. He told TheRinkLive: "I wanted to feel more uncomfortable. Bemidji was awesome, but I just didn't feel like I was pushed enough ... I want to get somewhere that I'm pushed constantly. I want to be practicing with NHL draft picks, who want to play in the NHL. I know all the guys at Denver want to play in the NHL some day"

The Sharks were rated prior to the draft as being in the top 5 in the league for prospects, that was clearly evident for anyone who attended the scrimmage yesterday. The place was packed too for that reason, and they didn't disappoint with their show.

It would be amazing if the Sharks can punch above its salary cap weight in the 2024-2025 season and beyond.

I read a ranking in January that put them at 4th. Before Colin Graf, before winning the draft lottery. They are the clear cut #1.

Damn that Pohlkamp kid looked good!

Smith well beyond the rest in hockey IQ, poise and skill. kid has a good future in nhl if they utilize him well and develop him right...

I was a coyotes fan I’m thinking of following the Sharks and Utah this next season. Maybe a little of the Blackhawks. Fan of Connor Bedard. Just a really nice guy.

I would have loved to see more puck robberies by the goalies and include more goalie saves in the recap, rather than just the goals. IT sure is difficult developing good goalie in this league

This is a cool concept; didn't know it was a thing. I have a few questions-- starting with how the players are selected to fill the roster? Do they have drafted but unsigned players play?

Mostly players recently drafted in last two years or so. With an occasional older prospect to fill out line up. Ozzy played last year. Cardwell this year. Couple camp invites also play. Chance to earn a contact. Doesn’t matter if under contract or not. Usually all those involved in the prospect camp play.

Also, look out for the various prospect tournaments in September. Detroit runs one in Traverse City and Vegas ran one in Henderson and Las Vegas. Those are tournaments of prospect players selected by the team to play against other NHL teams' prospects (Last year's one in Vegas had SJS, ANA, LAK, VGK, ARI, COL).
