Haha! Sketch done sometime around the 80s. It's almost the end of 2018. I'm Filipino and the Philippines is still in the same boat. Some things never change. :)

I never understood the whole 'mail order bride' thing when there's plenty of local women to be had but after seeing how many self centered, tattooed, materialistic western women there are these days , now I get it.

In the 80s very few Brits would ever have met a Filipina, they would have assumed they are like Chinese people. Now there are many Filipino people in the U.K., most of them have Spanish-sounding names and are ethnically Malay with Spanish influence. A minority of them are ethnically Chinese. The reference to the airline advert was actually Singapore Airlines.
