Yes and no. I personally found actively NOT using the combo and instead having the CC and silence separately was just as good, if not better, when playing support and not really trying to do damage. With maxed cooldowns you can have almost 100% CC uptime, which is truly unplayable against the right compositions.

For me, Mercury and Poseidon definetly are in my top 3 after aphro. I hate PvE players enough already, but those two essentially say, "Go farm until ult, 1 shot a squishy, run away with thrice the speed of everyone else and repeat for 30 minutes" Even if at least pos is easy to dive, you essentially always get hit by some of his ult, even if they are playing with their monitor turned off. And at least merc isn't as much in my games since the crit nerfs. Still, every game with either, or dare I even say both, make me immediately want to uninstall and go play a PvP game where I actual fight against someone.

Split push solo Merc is probably one of the most cringe matchups. Especially when your teammates don’t understand pushing a 5v4 team fight.

I have a personal grudge with Anubis and his toxic players, to the point where I immediately dread a game if my teammate even plays as him because I'm expecting the chat to go wild as soon as anything goes slightly wrong 🤣

@@Himadpeoples I'm a master's support I am intimately aware of every way you can cheese lane lol Goobis is really bad in supp and doesn't even win lane particularly hard considering how badly he falls off. If I was gonna use a pressure pick like that I'd get so much more out of Bastet, Discordia, Tsuki, Danza even, now that war flag is nutty. Goobis is still bottom of the barrel as far as off meta lane pressure picks go Jungle and support are mirrors of the same role with different jobs and farm priority and goobis actually plays jungle quite well because he farms and is more lethal which is what you want out of that role, every tank item you build detracts from your ability to actually be useful with your kit and every damage/lifesteal item you build leaves you diveable and easy to kill, which at baseline is not what you want from a support

I've laughed many times at people who instantly beads wrap and still die to the ult. Of course, being wrapped and dying because you can't use ageis doesn't work either. Also, if you buy beads and ageis, you'll only survive every other ult and will use both actives just to survive those 50% of fights (in mid lane, if it's a different game mode he might ult other people while your actives come back up).

Ugh, that gives me painful flashbacks to how she ruined solo lane when she was released. A field that cripples and doesn't require timing shut down so many solo picks. The channel from her druid stance 1 couldn't even be interrupted if the hard cc was something like Herc dash or Wukong stun with how long the cripple field lasted.

Anubis is one of my personal most cringe gods, Going against him : He always does the same combo on you even when his cooldowns are down he somehow has it up again when YOU engage it lol, then there's the fact that even if he misses one of his combo pieces he can just ult you with a beam that you can't avoid and again it seems like it is up everytime you engage him even though you just watched him ult your ally hercules LOL Then the one on your team is just playing city skylines in the background and misses all his abilities and then spams "you rock"

Anubis ult is not easy to avoid when it's you who is trying to get close to him to engage, being a 0.3sec tick hability allows for continuous damage to be dealt and unless you can teleport or stay in the air, he can usually use his entire ult on you.

@@antoniobengalinha8017 it’s the smallest line ability, even smaller than Ix Chels great end… if you move sporadically you’ll avoid most damage before it ends. So long as you save beads for him mummifying you you should easily be able to counter his ult. I often win mid lane against him with a simple beads counterplay 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah, I think he's the only character in the game with two knock-ups (which aren't reduced by DR). His non-conquest nerfs really make him lackluster in other modes, though (which is odd, because his ult is more for big team rotations in conquest, but not very good in non-conquest modes). I mean, Horus ult is okay in certain modes (maybe Slash and Joust). Tends to be worthless in Arena and is only good in Assault to backdoor.

With the new merc split push strat I think he deserves a place there

Where is Sun Wukong. He is hella cringe being so safe and he hits like a truck. He really takes no skills

Anubis is garbage in high elo, and Inter is not low elo 😂

I've kinda got a personal grudge against fenrir. his 3 has such stupid base damage that it hits way too hard (even full tank) and can only be cancelled by specific types of cc that - while available in lots of tank kits - usually require a specific counterpick (i.e. poseidon or agni) to reliably pull off without significant peel. but then even if you do stun his out of the 3 he can just leap after you or use his fully cc-immune 'beads-burner' ult that still hits like a truck. its probably just one of those gods that feels frustrating cuz he requires peel and coordination to play around, but still, if I'm against a fenrir (in any role lol) I know I'm gonna have a bad time. okay rant over sorry :)

Janus definitely deserves a spot for being stupid safe with ridiculous damage and lockdown

Interesting list. As someone who doesn't play smite as their main game, and only occasionally comes back to it for a few weeks/months at a time, I have a pretty different view. I don't think Loki is very cringe at all after the rework, sure everyone hates stealth, but that's about it, can easily rotate your camera to face his ult, so it doesn't benefit his passive. I'd for sure put Morgan in my personal top 3, can never be jumped on due to her 2 and like 10 sec cc immune ult lol. I am currently plat and that is where I am almost every time I come back to smite, so I guess it might just be a low elo take. Good video and I agree most of them are at least a bit annoying to face :P

I agree with most of this list and am pleased that Nox is this high up on the list, but her depravity doesn't stop by her just having that 2-1 combo, there is so much more to hate about it and her. 1. Both of her hard CCs start on having their full very long durations starting rank 1. Most gods with less duration have to rank up their abilities to get the full duration, not Nox. 2. She doesn't give a shit about DR and CCR. Both her abilities are completly unaffected by them which is extra insulting after the changes to the DR System a while back. 3. Her entire kit having very short cooldowns while still having high base damage and scaling. Her dash alone has more damage than some gods entire kits. 4. Her dash is one of the most ridiculous escaping tools in the game. The dash being long and fast by itself is strong, but then her hiding in a teammate who ubers her out is extra frustrating, even more so in side modes. 5. She is supposed to be a goddess of darkness, but she does not utilize that theme at all. Her skill effects are dark and has ravens, which is an absolute miss on capitalizing on her theme. Nox is easily one of the absolute worst designed gods in the game. She completly fails in regards to catching her theme while also making every match she is a part of absolutely miserable for all parties involved. And the people who main her are fully aware of it, they are the kind of people who wake up in the morning, smiling as they look forward to make people uninstall Smite. The failure is ultimately HiRez' because they kept this abomination in the game as is. The game would be far better off if Nox never existed.

I play Arena, but I think Loki for me is the perfect example of a character where somehow when they're on the enemy team they go 20 and 3, but when they're on your team I somehow always team with the biggest morons to ever play that character. The amount of times I've seen Lokis on my team dive into the enemy team 1v5 to kill one person. (Also I think Thanatos should be on here but I respect the picks).

Arthur not being on this list is crazy. Mash your keyboard and get a kill is so annoying

Not sure who all is going to be on this list, but it'll be a huge surprise if Ullr and Aphro aren't included. 5:03 Yeah, I've long been fond of saying that Loki got a rework, but Loki players did not. Before the rework, I had only ever played Loki in Assault. Since the rework, I pick him very occasionally (I don't main assassins and Loki is still a bit low on the list for when I do play one). 5:55 Khumbha can be annoying, but I don't think that anything beats Skadi ice patch in terms of cc annoyance (now, most annoying cc isn't the same as best cc).

Very surprised Eset and Ganesha weren't mentioned. I don't think Ganesha is as cringe as he his annoying (though I've mostly seen him played with Nox and/or Eset which is ULTRA CRINGE hands down) with his long silence and lockdown potential but Eset certainly is cringe, even worse than Nox. I got Eset to diamond before she got the largest bloat buff to an ability including Hades and Vamana. When I played her the 3 did a silence at 40 units and that's it. They increased the range to 55 units, added an up to 30% slow, a 10% magical protect reduction, and a decent health shield to all allies in a radius around her while the shield scales up by the number of enemy gods hit. Also the debuffs lasts for 2.5 seconds, still siliences for that duration, has a decent AEO 15 units, and is instant. It is a really stacked ability that no one talks about, it could be worse than I think because I don't know how long the health shield lasts I can't find a duration for it. Her 1 is also annoying because it gives her immunity to roots, knock backs, and slows(though it doesn't mention it) while doing decent damage and giving her movement speed. Her 2 is super long being 80 units that can go through walls, stuns for 1 second, a small AEO 10 units, and can be fired at any time including being CCed, dead, or while using her other abilities. Her Ult is another one that is really stacked: 30 unit AEO, decent damage, decent healing, scaling on damage + healing based on damage dealt by anyone in the circle, and can be detonated while she is doing her 1 while autofiring when she dies. She is a complete nightmare to deal with and glad she isn't popular.

I think part of it is the personality of people who play those characters. For instance, Aphro is very supportive, but Aphro players tend to have... difficult personalities. Ganesha is one of my sweaty, try-hard picks. People usually don't treat him as such, though. In general, the mentality is focused on K/D, so he tends to look terrible.

Thank god someone finally acknowledges kumba as super broken or annoying. When he has ult he can hit you with all 3 abilities. Ult you and when you come back down and hit you again with his abilities all while being cc’d the entire time. It’s so messed up how did that get approved! Even with beads he still can cc you.

Ever since League's infancy I've never believed stealth has a place in MOBA's. It's crazy to think it used to be ok for Champs to have 60 second stealths that could only be seen by the more expensive ward. As for smite there's always been too much damage flying around for character's to be turning invisible with little to no counterplay

I don't understand how Skadi, NuWa and Tyr didn't make the list. Also I think Horus should have been an honorable mention. His 2-1 combo is so obnoxious early game in support

Baron Samedi, why isn't Baron Samedi on this list that character is fucking busted man. With just Chronos pendant or Charons coin first item, he can hit 1000+ with just the lasers and then he heals himself to full off of the other ability.. and that's not even considering his ult, potentially one of the most cringe ults in the whole game in the team fight phase.

Izanami mains are usually cringe and toxic in casuals. 80% of them i encounter wont help at all in a team fight and just split push all game.

As a non conquest player Vulcan and thoth are on my list ares too. Not sure if anyone else hates these gods but seeing them in the loading screen is instant sadness for me

My group didn't play conquest back when kumba was released. He was so broken in other modes we quit smite for awhile.

Ao Kuang and Merlin. I hate being executed by Ao, at least Thanatos and Achilles has a skill shot. Ao if you're in range, you're dead.

Loki should be #1, especially when played in solo. Nothing like 2ing the wave and then using stealth to never been seen again until the next wave arrives (that is if they are not proxying). Then in the late game they split push and rarely join a team fight.

As a Kumbhakarna player I must sadly agree. That being said my pick for cringe god is Freya. She's either useless or is deleting people with the gumballs and ult bombardment.

I'm suprised you didn't mention Horus, he's basically physical kumbakharna, he cc you for like 3-4 seconds that's on low cd and then use his 3 to get out just to repeat it once the cd is up.

Vamana for me. Has so little value outside of ult. They finally shoot his ult after massive complaining. Now he is worthless. At this point he needs a different kit. And Skadi, It feels so bad to play her. And kaldr dies too quickly and doesn’t help that much at all in terms of damage. They really need to buff her. 😂

Skadi might win the award for feeling bad to play as and feeling bad to play against. Kaldr dies too slowly if you aren't playing an auto attacker or a someone with tick damage (but he dies too quickly if you are playing those). Ice patch is so clunky that you can be cc'ed for way too long if you're up against a wall. Honestly, her 1 is the only ability that she has that doesn't feel bad either to play as or to play against. I would probably say she needs a rework more than a buff.

@@calebowens693 I’d say her ult feels bad too. Countless times a minion, creep, or sometimes nothing blocks the ult. Countless times I have missed that root even if nothing is there. And even if I do hit ult it does pitiful damage. I have to run tank/bruiser hybrid skadi just to be able to stay in lane with other hunters💀. Kaldr really does need heavy buffs. I agree she feels clunky to play around with too though. A rework is welcome Imo.

some other honorable mentions should be izanami and apollo for their split push potential and safety.

Split-push Apollo is terrifying. When there's lots of arguing in pre-game lobby, I'm fairly likely to play it. After all, if one player insta-locked the new mage and two other players are screaming profanities at them (not because they think it was wrong, but because they were trying to do it and were too slow) then it's usually going to be a game which is unwinnable through other means. I've won many a Clash and Slash game through split-push Apollo under those circumstances. Usually everyone is mad, since my teammates are all too salty about not playing the new god and the enemy is (understandably) upset at losing to a PvE Apollo strategy with so little counterplay (when they start sending a person to stop my split pushing, I ult away as they get close and we can usually win a teamfight 5v4 even if we kept losing 5v5). Izanami I tend to think of as an absolute terror more for her ridiculous early pressure from her lane clear. She's probably the best hunter to deal with fire waves, her 1 is good for objective push, and her escape is better than most hunters. If she doesn't get much of a lead early in the match, then her opponent will likely out-pace her. Still, even late game, she's still a hunter and can good damage.

Now I’m also just thinking of Persephone. Sending all the freaking plants at me that take up the space of the damn lane that I literally can’t avoid them and then boop jumps away. Oh and she will throw a big ass plant cage at you and as long as she’s close enough your trapped in the damn vine thing. Ao Kuan is annoying for being able to build 5 defensive items with bancrofts auto attack glif and being able to dive, kill a back liner surrounded by their team and walk away is absurd.

I get all of your picks. For me I'd skip Hel and Aracnhe since most of the time I can counter them so they aren't as annoying. For me the most cringe gods would be, Cupid, Discordia, Athena, Hera, along with some of the Gods u mentioned... Generally easy gods that are so forgiving and also boring while having broken hitboxes is what I find cringe.

I dare say Ao Kuang was robbed of Nox’s spot in list in terms of sheer obnoxiousness along with his “Fisher Price Baby’s First Jungler” seal of approval for being so safe he can top frag without being properly built. Along with Thanatos being in Loki being out the loop for so long that the most annoying this about the players is their habit of split pushing being their “end all be all”. The average Thanatos main has cemented his spot of OG Loki’s top player base. They either leave the game for not first blooding it try to shit on their team for constantly ego challenging and getting shut down play after play…

I joined smite just at the tail end of season 5, right when Vulcan solo was popular. Now whenever I see a Vulcan outside of an assault lobby I just think “….ew”

If I had to give a personal Top Ten it would be 10. Neith - Boring god to play as and getting ult'd by her in a teamfight is super lame 9. Artio - Root that lasts for years, a stun, and multiple slows makes her super annoying to me 8. Hades - Reason why I rarely play Solo, cause dude is unbeatable and makes lane somehow more boring to play than Loki does 7. Agni - Lot of damage while having a super good escape + stuns hurt my soul 6. Aphro - Lame ult and those susan + aphro combos like you mentioned are super fucking cringe when you see them 5. Nox - Lame and uninspired kit, aoe silence is stupid and playing with one that sucks is also tragic. thank god i stopped only playing arena cause i rarely see this game anymore 4. Loki - It's loki, we all know why hes here 3. Hachi - Main reason I stopped playing ADC and went to mid. Lame kit, never wants to fight you unless you're in 1 range, and if they do fight you, they just ult away the moment they lose. rather fight marti than that piece of shit god 2. Fenrir - Untalented god, a lobotomy victim can play this god with ease. Overall lame kit too 1. Susano - I just roll my eyes when I see this god pick because he's got easily the most annoying kit in the game. Two escapes, a pull, and a ult that does stupid damage + a knockup. World would be a better place of the top 3 gods on my list were removed.

No way you didn’t add chang’e!! The one shot combo with ult being up every 60 seconds is extremely annoying to play once she has full build.

As an ex-loki main (before they made him awful to play, made two of his abilities shiet for any assassin type of character), it's 100% true Also, lack of Ratatoskr in this list is unbelievable. 80% of previous Loki mains are maining this silly ass squirrel now and they're even more toxic and abnoxious.

I think Janus deserves an honorable mention at the very least - especially once he gets CDR online. The over the wall poke, his escapability, his ability to secure objectives from across the map, and getting smacked with that ult without seeing it coming -- all so cringe and frustrating to deal with.

For me, Xbalanque, not because any of his mechanics are annoying to deal with but it seems like those who play them, especially if they have several stars, are some of the sweatiest players ever and are really quick to quit.

My list includes anyone who brain-dead W-Keys a lane/Role. That's the only time I'll say someone is being cringe. When you know good & well it's your character, not your own skill, that's winning you the match.

3 mages, 2 guardians, 4 assassins, 1 hunter... I am honestly surprised no warriors made it into this list, or at the very least, Mulan. Mulan continues to give incompetent players a lot of bang for their buck.

As a Hades main, honestly you badically cant play Hades on mid anymore, if you dint have any defense items basically hades is just like Ne zha you dont play prrfectly you killed urself lol. He is a fun support though

I think that cringe picks depend on personal god pool of each player. For example, any invisible god main will think that heim is cringe. or any adc will feel very totally countered by bellona, specially if you are only auto atack, like a freya does. but anyways. The only cringe gods I accept in the list is nox and Tyr. the other are like... annoying but, they don't feel cringe unless they are a party of 2 or more people trying to combo strong combinations against casuals. That is what is real cringe. Fortunately they don-t know that nox-thor is so stupid, I even haven-t seen kali plus aphro, or kali plus kepphrii. Basically kephrriii is cringe as soon as in his team they have something very very hard to kill. I think that poseidon should be in the list, he is a bullet faster than any assasin. HE is unkillable with many gods, he can ult you if you get to close, he is a bullet, he has a cripple, he has a knock up wih the 1. Yeah, I think pose is too much. you can kill him ez only if you are as cringe as him, like thot. I personally think that anubis and zeus are cingier because basically they must camp in some corner to start doing something. They cannot 1v1 almost even though anubis is a duel god, it is like so cringie in mupltiplayer modes.

Chronos deserves to be here, games go on so long that his passive makes him a 1 shot god. Also you need to dump your ult into him to kill him and by the time you use your ult he just ults and is back ti full hp
