I see lot of people not enjoying his kit but personally, I like it, focusing on keeping the curse (Debuff) on while being able to AOE attack it feels like what a true support should be able to do, debuff and auto. I can understand why people dont enjoy it when you had heavy sluggers as MAMA when she came out

I am not sure what hirez thought by giving a kit like this. It so prone to ranged damage especialy burst mages in late game have the whale for lunch.

I love playing him in support

Yeah it's an extremely weird time for a god like this to come out. He's not good in solo because mage solos are very much still a thing and completely counter him (during laning at least), and in Support he just doesn't have the tools to keep up with the top tier supports. Unfortunate, but that time Dilation form of cc is absolutely devastating against certain characters, so he has his uses.

I tried playing it in couple of ranked games and its a struggle. Got 2 shot by a Vulcan lol

personally i love going gilded arrow on this guy in solo. clears so much faster and gets more haste online. the full build i go right now is the arrow starter - phalanx - berserkers - pridwen - shoguns - genjis/pestilence. order changes depending on who I'm against in lane and who's jungler.

and yeah although it likely isn't the best and i could probably experiment with different items, i've been having a lot of fun with this one.

I like the Gilded in theory i just don't see how you go that and survive ganks, you can lane against melees exceptionally well with it but laning against mages and surviving ganks becomes much harder. I am fully on board with the pridwen though i've used it a few times now on him and now i've seen the light

I wanted him to be let loose and not be forced to the limited amount of utems like jorm

I was playing him today and I have been getting top damage on my team every game but I get alot of deaths too he feels hard to get value out of and I’m my opinion he’s slightly weak cause he just doesn’t do that well in the late game. Overall he feels a bit unsatisfying because you never get the value you need to get in team fights late or mid game. His early game laning phase is unmatched though

Yeah in the late game i'd just focus on trying to use the time dilatation on people, it can heavily shut down certain characters. I was playing Susano into him and i really couldn't do anything late game since he just focused the ult on me when i tried to go in.

I might try Bellona death's toll, exe, shoguns, zerk shield etc... and if that doesn't work, there's always Morgan Le Fay :> Edit: I played a couple games against him last night. Bellona did ok into him but didn't win lane or anything. He can outbox Bellona which is nutty imo. That said, Morgan Le Fay solo just ran him right out of the lane (multiple solo kills, he's hiding under tower kind of stuff).

How would you counter ?

Early and mid game the best you can do as a melee character is just burst him and walk away on repeat. NEVER try to take extended trades against him. Obviously as a ranged character this is way easier but don't push your luck. Late game movement inhibiting moves are exceptionally important. Obviously that includes hard cc but relics like Horrific Emblem but especially Entangling Wings (the Spirint upgrade) has been invaluable. Big blowout ultimates like Xing Tian, Kumbha, Ares, Cerb, and so on are really good at shutting his ult down. Basically, any sort of ultimate that heavily cc's Bake while allowing you to be cc immune to avoid his ult is great. If you're playing a backliner you just have to be really patient and wait for the ult to end, or save your cc immune ult/movement abilities specifically for when he ults.

Can't lie..this is one of the most underwhelming God releases. The kit feels so lame especially how good Maman was

I like him a lot actually but he shouldn't have been the last god. I dig the lowkey and slower atmosphere of the character's aesthetics and his playstyle but it's not a very interesting design to end the season on

Maman is undeniably way to strong at way too many things, I'm glad they've pared it back. We can't keep having Maman-level releases all the time. It would become overwatch.
