In this guide series I take a look at each god’s respective abilities and describe how they function and what situations they are best used in. I also go over builds, relic choices, ability leveling, and combos with each God. The guides are typically made for new/returning players but I don't shy away from more technical ideas/mechanics, so who knows, you might learn a thing or two!
For builds the first build I put is the one I personally rely on/recommend, then, any other builds are sourced from high level players, usually referenced against builds from prosmitebuilds.com, which gathers builds from high level players in ranked and pro play.

I was looking for an Athena guide as I played her for the first time today. And here we go a guide by the best 6 hours aho
This is bringing me back to when people (me) would play pure damage Athena and just WRECK teams back in season 2/3
Support Tip: It may seem natural to assist the teammate getting killed a lot, but Athena Ulting to the teammate who is doing best is the right choice. Save the life of your best teammate, peel and taunt for them, and you will win.
Probably worth mentioning that, early game, you want to land your 3 before you taunt to guarantee the second tick of damage from your 3, while late game (or whenever you finish leveling taunt) you can safely taunt, then 3 and they will not be able to walk out of the second hit. The taunt is too short to force the opponent to take both hits until about level 4 of the ability (depending on how well you're able to drag the enemy to the center of the 3 while they are taunted)

Escape Tip: Power up your dash (enemys will hear this + expect the dash immediately), then turn, juke the enemy body blocking you, then dash away.
