Mr. King...What a wonderful emotion filled reaction. So let's start with Lucy. Here I will quote you, "She is one of the best singers I have ever heard in my life". That says it all! In all the reactions I have watched, yours Mr. king is the strongest direct statement about how great Lucy truly is. Thank you for that. She deserves it. I agree 100%. On to Martha, she is only 13 yrs old and her voice is just beginning to mature and it is gorgeous and pure. She is another talented force to be reckoned with. And Mom Louise, I could listen to her for hours. She is obviously the gifted Mom who gifted her two daughters with voices made in heaven. So also raised them with so much love that they adore her and are so pure. These beautiful angels send chills through my body, light up my heart, and make my eyes go teary.

Love your comments - spot on. I'm in my 90th year and have never heard a singer like Lucy. She tops original artists in all her songs.

Dennis, I'm at a loss for words to describe the opening of this video. Her voice is so smooth, serene, and just completely restful. You said the magic word, "WOW", about this piece. Pleasant and astounding song and voices. I think the age difference is 5 yrs.

Dennis, this piece is quite appropriate for Lucy. In quite a few of her videos she ends with a very pleasant smile (the cherry on top). And in this one all three of them are smiling right to the end. Outstanding.

Hi Dennis- I’ve been a Lucy fan for just over 6 months but I didn’t know you n many others do reviews such as this. You are a 100% correct in saying “ listen to this song if you are going through a tough time”. This song DOES REDUCE ME TO TEARS ALSO. I really miss my mother ( deceased 5 yrs ago) and this family just bring out all the good memories of my mum. Not a day goes by past where I don’t miss her . The way these 3 ladies “ build “ this song is just unbelievably amazing. From the smooth opening from Lucy to that younger sound of Martha and then ….. WOW, Mum just NAILS IT, with such softness but with that more mature voice n the song goes from a soft piano intro to a light drum beat with a bit of organ? , but it’s so mellow n ohh man each of the 3 in their own way had me with a shiver, then my hairs on my arms standing , then by the time Louise comes on I’m shaking all over n a tear comes rolling down my cheek. Oh Lord THANK YOU for these beautiful people that can gives us so much enjoyment yet they don’t even know us. Dennis, your comment re the two sisters side by side looking in such a loving way at their mum is priceless. They don’t know it but they are a gift to us from Heaven God Bless them ! Great reaction to a beautiful version of smile. Martha definitely can sing and their duets are all world class, my favourite is 'The Prayer' but all are incredible.

Somehow, the Three Sirens of Homerian antiquity were swept into a time-space vortex, and ended up here in the 21st century in the guises of Lucy, Martha, and Louise Thomas! Magically stunning in every way!

John, love the way you worded that, thanks! I had one other poster say once: "Lucy steps into our dimension and allows us the rare glimpse of her talents, and then steps away into another universe!!" Yes, the 3 Thomas women are phenomenal in every aspect: professional, class, dignity, beauty, talent, vocals, etc.!! My hand would get tired typing more positive adjectives describing these wonderful women before I could finish.........

I couldn't agree more they are great performers, I highly recommend listening to "You raise me Up" and the later version of "The Prayer" and "The Climb", all unforgetable not to mention her version of "Run to You (From The Bodyguard") Cover of Whitney. Incredible talented family. Thank you.

I must agree with George Lucy is just amazing. There are so many good songs. Reflections and Run and Footprints in the Sand and Wind Beneath my wings and Run to you to mention a few. Keep reacting to this fantastic singer.

Lucy is the best. Been hearing her for about 2 years. What a discovery & you did a nice job. In this one I would have loved seeing all 3 in one visual doing the harmony. You will love the girls duets. And see Broken Dreams & all from the original musical, Rosie

Dennis, I watched "Smile" again and noticed something else. They all have good voices and the trio harmony part really sounds nice. However, in the first verse after Lucy, then Martha, then Louise sing, it revolves back to Lucy. At that point her voice really shows who owns this video. Lucy is very confident and her voice shows it; It's hard not to be affected by her voice. Not putting anyone down but Lucy has been training for 10+ years and it shows. Of course Martha is coming right up behind Lucy, she just needs a few more years for her voice to really mature.

Mothers day in the UK is always held around late March.

In the UK Mothers Day is in March, Smile was the song Lucy sang during the battle rounds on the Kids Voice which she absolutely smashed, it is so great to finally hear Mother Thomas Louise sing with her daughters,no wonder Lucy and Martha have such wonderful voices with their mother having a great voice also, thanks for the great reaction Dennis, my mother also passed away in 2003 I still miss her every day

Great reaction and comments! Thank you! Like your experience, my Mom also passed away in 2003 (October). But we never forget them in our minds and in our hearts! If you react to Lucy & Martha's duet of "You Raise Me Up," you will see a montage of pictures of them together in various times of their childhood which are just precious.

I have not yet heard any online reactions make this connection, so I'll just throw it out there: "Smile" was written by Charlie Chaplan, star of early black-and-white film, so the black-and-white format in this video (and the old-school microphone) might well be a subtle tribute to its author. In any event, what a gem of a performance. As you point out Dennis, this video is exquisitely produced, as are the others. (Check the lead in to Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.) Plus, after hearing this, I can now hear Martha and Louise doing back-up vocals on Halleluia and Fix You.... try it. I'm guessing that almost all the vocals for Lucy's (otherwise) solo efforts come from those two.

The age difference between Lucy and Martha is 5 years. Lucy has just turned 19 and Martha is 14 years young. Music simply cannot be more touching.

Dennis, it's me again. Some reactors have mentioned how Lucy seems to sing effortlessly. It brought Perry Como to my mind (several years ago). When Perry sang he was so relaxed and at ease, and just like Lucy he also had a very smooth voice.

It's not early. It's the USA that has globalised a commercial splatfest called Mother's Day in May on the world. The real Mother's Day had always been Mothering Sunday in March... and still is in many places.
