Tupac Shakur was fucking with Queen Bridge , Bronx, Brooklyn, New Jersey hard.. that One Nation album would've meant a lot to hip hop if officially released.

Hip hop in general. It would’ve been the first time someone CONSCIOUSLY put a bunch of the top MCs from all the major regions on a project together and set a precedent the other labels would’ve tried to follow if it was successful…

I wish people would stop saying the media created the East vs West beef. Slick Rick was on radio dissing the west coast in the 80’s. That got scrubbed from the internet somehow. Tim Dog really set it off like Vivica with his record. Other rappers on the east started throwing shots at the west on the low. Big L sent a couple darts on his first album. CL Smooth. Roxanne Shante. Da Artifacts. Das EFX. Q-Tip. LL. Scientifik. Jay-Z. Even NORE and nem threw their hat in the race with the LA LA thing. Dudes on the east felt super threatened when the west had it locked leaning on EAST COAST real heavy. You can check the ‘95 Source Awards and see how bad it was getting. Rodney O and Joe Cooley made an entire ALBUM called F New York and people wanna blame the MEDIA for all this mess!?!? You already know what it was with Ice Cube/Westside Connection. Despite what Pac said Cube was throwing shots back east in ‘95. Cube was on the May 1996 issue of The Source explaining the East/West beef. In the same issue they mention All The Critics In New York in the Fat Tape section. There’s a whole 25 minute video of west coast rappers dissing the east. When Biggie died the “west coast” looked at it as a victory for them.

Stop the cap. For one it was never a Whole Coast thing. It was NEW YORK & LA thing. NYC shitted everyone just because they weren’t from NY & was known for being that way to everybody that wasn’t from New York City. NYC boo’ed Outkast at the 96 Source Awards when they won, just cause they wasn’t from NYC. New York hated on anybody that wasn’t from New York City. It’s no secret or surprise. When the West Took over the rap game and gave the same energy in return, New York acted like some sore losers cause they wasn’t on top, that was they Karma. It’s the same thing now with the South Taking over . They weren’t traitors, they were smart. Cause unlike all the rappers bragging bout what hood they was from, Pac was smart & was trying to bring all the hoods together & bridge the gaps

Pac stans getting heated that an interview with ANOTHER ARTIST doesn't include enough info about Tupac for their liking 😂 You dudes are pure weirdos. Tek said multiple times in this clip that there wasn't any backlash and that he was hanging with Big everyday to illustrate his point that there was no backlash. Put the Tupac pom poms down for like 10 seconds and listen.
