Something I liked about this chapter was how Karen had a leading role in it and how Luigi managed to give Mario what he deserved after 11 years of abuse from him. One thing I didn't like is seeing how Mario acted like a brainless kid when in reality in the older bloopers he was even smarter than any character he showed by fooling anyone blaming Luigi or some other character.

I actually love Karen in this SMG4 universe because she’s the perfect blend of a likeable character and uncontrolled SMG4 nonsense. She is a single mother who is trying her best in holding a life for her kids but is constantly being bewraddled, which I’m sure is relatable to a lot of single parents. Then she’s a an action oriented soldier who is ready to blow the walls off a disabled robber whenever she needs to. Even though he swings another way unless he is bisexual, this episode almost makes me ship her and Luigi, they work well together and he is a very supportive guy that someone like Karen could use, he also strikes me as the type to be excellent with kids.

N is my favorite character in Murder Drones.

I really like how every now and then we get an SMG4 epsiode that has the main focus on a side character rather than Mario and SMG4, really shifts the perspective and allows for a more creative episode

Why did this feel so much bigger than the usual episodes? Like, I know this isn't part of an arc, but this felt so fun and expanded on the characters and world-building a little bit as well. Karen's a single mom and her children act relatively normal (with some SMG4 meme logic) in this world. Mario can have tantrums like an actual child and get sugar rushes as well. It's little things like these that are the reason I stay watching this channel despite the countless others who have left or said "Modern SMG4 isn't good anymore".

Karen really surprised me in this video. I didn't think much of her prior, but here you can tell she is caring and hard working, just jaded. I half expected her to just rage/aggro on Mario for half the video, but instead got some development on her, her kids, and really kept her cool on the job when Mario misbehaved. I also like how Karen's kids are like OG character equivalents to Mario's chaos and immaturity, Zack being like his rebellious side and Cory being like his random dumb side, complete with Cory becoming a helicopter like Mario has done in the past. I also like how Karen was rooting for Luigi to stand up himself and teach him good parenting (or brotherhood I guess), and that Luigi won in the end and put Mario in his place, though would have liked him to go buff ballin' Luigi mode like from the recent basketball video. Also the animation every single week is so solid it's practically on par with the SMG4 movies, even the way the camera moves everything feels so dynamic and alive, there's barely a static moment. It's night and day to even the last few years which were already solidly animated/made (and still age well), which is impressive given how quickly and frequently the videos come out. Props again SMG4 and Glitch.

@@SansTheSkeIeton Tbh its a valid point as Karen started weak written, and this video can be a polarizing make or break for some. I forgot to mention in my previous comment that I have watched the show since 2014 and it was very different back then. The aforementioned animation and twists are a welcome improvement, but some of the raunchy and improv and looseness of the classic era was compromised along the way. Furthermore, abd this is off topic,, meggy polarized many people for the start for similar reasons to Karen, a strong kickers female protagonist with something to prove. Personally I liked her early years especially with Mario, but she along with many others have been pit against Mario and mario himself has been turned into a man child, which leaves something to be desired. It helps that she is completely absent in this video for that reason as Karen is more neutral, abd honestly Karen handled the situation better than meggy would, which is a welcome subversion. Now in many cases his treatment is usually just, like in this video even, though would have preferred they dialed back the babysitting element on him specifically or used another character as a stand in, this was a year ago and opinions change. I know this take is more long winded and not conducive to youtube conversations compared to say the subreddit (which is a tiny fraction of the size). But that's the thing with modern smg4, it has flaws that you have to take with a grain of salt because the creators changed, the platform its on changed, things expanded scope and complexity and new people fans who can't expect to know the show as long as the old days (and even if they go back to watch, doing so in reverse after the newer stuff won't hit the same). Bottom line, the video is still pretty good, but not a favorite necessarily and mainly sells on some wow factor, which for most of the shows run and internet content in general is kind of inevitable.

Karen has quickly become one of my favorites out of the whole cast. I always fall for the sane, 'straight-man' in an insane world, and Karen is definitely that. Unlike so much of the rest of the world she's got a clear head and is trying her best to survive in a world gone mad and care for her children, and not only that but she's adapted to the chaos and is more than capable of surviving it. Seeing her home life only makes me love her even more

Her personality is just the "Squidward" archetype and seeing her have 3 children makes her feel more cliche. Of course it's fine if you disagree, I'm not trying to change your mind. Yes...usually. This time it was kinda wholesome. Seriously, despite me being a dog person (with the family having three at our house), I just wanna pet Karen and (maybe) her kids because they look so cuddlesome! ...And "cuddlesome" isn't even a real word! 😸

Karen has quickly become one of my favorite SMG4 characters out of the whole crew. I love a person who always keeps it sane and dosen't go crazy in marios insane world and Karen is definitely that. She has tons of jobs she does just to feed her children its inspiring and admirable. She has a very clear head and focuses on her children and her job, that's what a true mother does. Karen is very inspiring and she dosen't atcually act like a karen at all really, she just looks grumpy because she can't go insane when she has children to feed. It's nice to see what Karen atcually does outside of destroying bad people and being relaxed all the time. She is very creative and she always knows when it's time to take out the big guns litterally
