genuinely think you might be clueless. our performance in India was no worse than the Aussies. And in the ashes minus a very poor day 2 on lords our batting was pretty fucking good. No doubt we’re not the best team in the world or anything but our batting is pretty good.

If the England openners actually managed to bat for more than a few overs maybe the Eng numbers three to five wouldn't actually be playing as openers facing an almost new ball and then they could play their natural games.

@@Paul-mx5yb In the last year, we’ve been pretty good up top. Crawley and duckett average over 50 as an opening partnership, which is higher than cook and Strauss (obviously small sample size but still not bad at all)
