Also dair has a smaller sour spot outside as well as inside, and although it could be harder to hit on some characters, its easier to hit on large characters like bowser, and better for spacing

Below average range, below average aerial mobility, needing to be at high percent to have his super moves, and an exploitable recovery. That's just my opinion, and some of it could be argued. But he definitely has more flaws than some other characters (joker, pika, etc)

@@JB_CY Another thing I noticed is that all of his specials are very linear. This is mostly just from fighting people day one, but I noticed that a lot of moves people liked to spam (both side B's, buster wolf) send you forward and are easily punishable. Same sort of idea with Power Dunk

@@JB_CY can the third reason really be a con, since almost all other characters dont have op specials when they've taken a lot of damage? He can also kill easy without them.

Btw I got confused with the combinations so here’s a trick that helped me quite alot. So don’t actually slide ur controller in the way of the arrows but think of it as a circle for example for the back b combo for terry go from the bottom line on ur joystick to the nect one on ur left and then immediately press the b button! Hope that helped :)

Now I just wanna see a Terry main at a tournament throw their hat and say “OH KAY!!” when they win, lol.

I'd like to mention that when using Terry's supers - character counters can vary. I did some labbing and found the following: - Lucina | Marth | Roy | Ike | Chrom will miss if hit with Buster Wolf even at far or close range as Terry goes through them. Power Geyser MAY connect if close enough but can be spaced. - Corrin will hit Terry with either super regardless and will connect the counter. -Palutena will act the same as FE characters though spacing Power Geyser will still result in being countered. -K. Rool will counter both supers even if Power Geyser is spaced. -Shulk will counter Buster Wolf at long range but will miss if done at close range. Power Geyser will always result in a hit. -Greninja will always counter Power Geyser but requires input if hit with Buster Wolf as Terry will normally be behind him when the counter actually comes out. -Lucario will always counter either super regardless of range or spacing since he will appear behind Terry and hit when the counter comes out. -Lil Mac will counter both supers. -Mii Fighter will miss Buster Wolf at long and close range. Cannot counter Power Geyser. -Mii Swordfighter can counter both Buster Wolf and Power Geyser, though Terry can avoid being hit by the counter if Power Geyser is spaced. :: Additional Characters :: -Ryu | Ken cannot EX either supers and will always be hit. -Joker's Rebel's Guard won't tank Buster Wolf but will tank Power Geyser - doing so will instantly fill the bar to summon Arsene. -Incineroar's Revenge cannot tank Buster Wolf but can tank Power Geyser. -Bayonetta cannot Witch Time Buster Wolf but can do so to Power Geyser. (Updated} -Hero's Kaclang cannot be affected by either super.

i think the reason why Rebel's Guard, Revenge and Witch Time cannot tank Buster Wold it's because it's acts like a grab (although it can't beat shields) which the 3 are vulnerable to

@@las4gna84 To be more specific, Buster Wolf functions as a hitgrab so if the initial hitbox doesn't connect nothing will follow up, which is also why it doesn't affect shields whereas a true command grab can. Since those 3 options are not technically "counters" (being that they are triggered by a hitbox and immediately implement freeze frames for a counterattack), they are all susceptible to being beat by Buster Wolf.

​@@master_of_krynn It refers to characters who have incredible power but are balanced by the fact they are weaker in terms of defense. Being light means you'll die quicker with less hits compared to heavies.

Rising Tackle doesn’t need to be charged for a second, it’s only about 25 frames. Other than that, fantastic job!

Quick update on Power Geyser. It has a shortcut where you only have to do qcb, then press forward; you do not have to roll your stick back, and this lets you dash forward a bit before using Power Geyser.

Izaw, you CAN DI non-tumble knockback, it's just not easily noticeable because the distances are low (it's still a ±10° variance). Test it in Training.

The worst part about having ADD is that energy drinks don't make me focus more, they just give me mental fog

Extra stuff: Charged Rising Tackle also goes very slightly higher, it lands on the top platform of battlefield while hard press up B doesn't. F-tilt into Burn Knuckle is also a great punish after blocking ledge attack, kills at like 40% for many characters. Great stuff as always dude, keep these videos coming.

Power geyser can be simplified further to just down back forward. You don't need the extra down input.

Buster wolf is a hit grab, it works like isabelle's fishing rod, it will beat out things like wonderwing but will lose to shield

As much as I wanted kyo in smash, it makes sense they added terry instead of him. He fits perfectly into smash.

I don't think there is any other series where I feel comfortable liking before I even watch the video.

I found this video very helpful. I’m trying to be a better Terry player and this vid does an excellent job of showing combos and Terry’s unique move set and controls. I recently unsubscribed to certain Smash channels because all the players do is cry about Nintendo, and not talk gameplay. Great channel.

I'm only good with Terry cuz I know all of these inputs by heart cuz I played alot of kof in the past, buster wolf gave me alot of trouble because I only ever done the Input with a dpad but now I'm used to the buster wolf inputs with the analog sticks I also consider terry my second ever true main of ultimate right next to shulk. I'll add sonic to the list when they fix him but i still play a really good sonic

If you down-throw at the very edge of the stage, with the opponent at the the edge, they bounce of the wall, sending them on a different angle. You can't ledge spike them with it, by the time it becomes untechable down-throw already kills by itself and you can hardly combo out of it, *but* it could be nice knowing as the opponent, since he could tech-wall jump to punish

I plan to purchase both the Fighters’ Pass soon, so this is very helpful.

Don’t know if you say this in the vid but you can do power geyser from just going down back to forward as long as you go through the middle of the stick, not rolling along the bottom of it.

Also power wave is a pretty safe move to use defensively in the air

It is a comman grab. But it is a hit grab, which doesn't go through shields, like Isabelle's side special. I has the ability to go through some pretty hard to beat moves, like Banjo's wonder wing

To any Terry mains who are watching this video and struggle with power geyser consistency I just discovered a new way to do the input, and I saw immediate improvement. Facing right you can DI down and then go counterclockwise until either the right horizontal notch or the right down diagonal notch. I've always struggled with misinputing buster wolf instead of power geyser and this helped immensely.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but a REALLY close dtilt to upsmash is a true combo and kills at high percents. If you land dtilt at the end or the middle of the kick, it won't work though.

Any tips on how to do the falling up air - > Dair - > Nair x3 - > burning knuckle? The only way I can seem to connect the last nair is if I buffer it then hold forward right after. This makes it impossible to do the input version of burning knuckle. I'm testing on Link starting at 18% with Terry at 0 like in the video.

I would also like to add that his uptilt is good at catching people in the air, as well as his up smash His down smash is good for being defensive and sometimes catching people off the stage. ( this is situational but useful)

Can you do game and watch? He's turning out to be a high tier character and I love playing him, but I can't play him really good competitively.

Do you have to bring the stick back to the middle before doing another input, or can you just slide it around the edges instead? Nothing answers this.

I found that was happening to me when I didn't fully complete the stick movement before I hit A+B, really exaggerate the joystick movement to get used to the timing

Soo (as a beginner), can you only use some of his attacks if you use certain button combinations that no other character has?
