In this final round of Smash or Pass through my unopened Hot Wheels Premium castings, we take a look at what would now be the Pop Culture series. While many of these would have been considered Retro or Replica Entertainment when they were released, they are all pretty fun.

Do you remember when they came out? I wasn't collecting at the time so I never saw them either.
I have several of these Hot Wheels releases in mainline or premium but the Sam Walton truck and Ecto 1 in 1/64 Scale has always eluded me...I also passed on the Knight Rider 2 pack because I already had K.I.T.T. but people charge too much for K.A.R,R. and I can never find that bad boy on the pegs...the hoarders and scalpers in this diecast hobby are one of the reasons why I started to buy more Greenlight and Johnny Lightning cars...leaving most HW releases on the pegs!

I can't lie I have definitely been a hoarder at times. I'm bad to have plans for a lot of stuff I buy and then just turn around and get rid of it for one reason or another. Luckily my area is usually pretty lightly shopped so I can get whatever comes in fairly easily, but it also means that we skip some releases because the stores don't move stock fast enough.
I love the knite rider car. It was definitely a peg warmer . I picked up 2. When did that plane come out? I don't remember that one.

I think it was in stores early 2021, but I feel like I bought it in 22 🤷
