Sisqui really shows how morph bomb is one of the most underrated moves in the game. Disruptive in neutral, helps mix up your landings and recovery, and GREATLY inproves Samus' edge trapping

Agreed. I think Samus has a claim to best edge trap in the game with morph bomb. When given enough time to set up, and the bomb is spaced properly, and Samus has a partial charge shot, the opponent seemingly cannot pick a ledge option without getting hard punished (except for maybe ledge stall, which just resets the situation). It's great to see Sisqui execute it so well so often.

As a long time Samus main, the bombs have always been my favorite part :)

Good run kameme. Sisqui played so well, and has made a great run. He is so precise and so talented with samus.

Not sure if these two have faced off before, but I've been waiting for this matchup. I'm a Sora main and really struggle against Samus (really all projectile focused characters). Even though Kameme lost, it's really great to see how he approaches this matchup. The fact that he was one hit away from winning the set gives me hope.

Samus is absolutely one of Sora's worst match-ups, though Kameme has a pretty good track record against them somehow.

Well if it is a bad matchup. Idk I haven’t played enough to make that determination. But as a samus it feels annoying to play against sora It just feels like you always reach me in situations I don’t except. And as a samus when I am playing a bad matchup against a character where it feels like my options may feel annoying. I just try to up the levels of annoying Idk if that means anything because part of the problem is probably that I don’t understand your character But whenever we are doing that charge shot movement to shoot you especially when drifting back it’s the most annoying thing in the world to get hit once especially when it cuts off the charge shot we were just about to shoot. It feels terrible Sora does seem pretty slow when trying to get to ledge and off ledge. But with your ability to reach samus, if you could negate edge traps in some way then you could win a battle of attrition. But you may just need to get this soras thoughts on how to do that Also my and it seems like sisquis strategy was to find opportunities to wait a lot. He improved his spacing and positioning to find places to wait and shield soras air dash (idk which special direction it is) And personally when I see my opponent finding opportunities to wait I like to find counter waiting opportunities. Idk if that’s sustainable as sora. But maybe that’s helpful

@@ninjaturtletyke3328 Thanks for the advice! I guess the worst part of the matchup is just having to be so patient and cautious. The part that feels really bad for a Sora player is that besides using fire, you have to get so close to Samus to start doing any damage. Sora's moves feel pretty committal besides spamming magic (besides thunder) and back air. And because of Samus's grab, you have to be extra certain you can hit Samus if you're going to take a swing. And when you are wrong, Samus has so many ways to escape or hit you away. If you are able to get in, you better make sure your combo game is clean and that Samus doesn't get hit by a weird nair hotbox and falls out in an unexpected way. Plus, Sora's floaty jump makes it tough to use that as an option to get through the wall of projectiles (which maybe I'm not supposed to be doing as much). The matchup feels like you're at the mercy of Samus. Sora can definitely take advantage of a nervous spammy Samus, but if you're playing against a patient one who can utilize a lot of her tricks, then you're in for a tough time.

You know how you try to jump in on Samus while charging and they catch you with fair? Yeah advancing counter would've worked there. I use it on Samus all the time

Does it hit above ledge? I thought it snapped to ledge so I think Samus might be safe with that. It only works on characters where the hitbox extends above ledge like Sephiroth, king k rool, etc

Kamemr.never uses Sora's counter and I don't understand why. I'm also confused as to why he doesn't use that many spells to use for.combo opportunities

Yeah (although Sora's reflect doesn't actually send the projectile back so it wouldn't be useful in this MU, it is useful for boomerangs from the likes of the characters such as Yink and Richter love to spam)
