if you use lcd display along side with amoled display then the amoled display will look much better than lcd any day. But if you tweak the custom colour settings like contrast, brightness, saturation and backlight properly, then the lcd display will look kinda identical to a budget amoled screen

@@student_of_God did u know what is this test all about . This test measure the frequency of turning display off in low brightness and LCD doesn't turn off display so the frequency is infinity . So LCD would be the winner in this test

Wow... Love the visual comparison. I have one suggestion for future updates on this pwm update each year. Create 5 brightness levels testing and level them on the video screen: 95%, 75% 50% 25% 10%. This makes it so easy to compare.

DC dimming is the worst because it washes out the colour of the picture or video you are seeing. That's why many high end smartphones don't use DC dimming anymore.

@@avyam7509 Right. It addresses some of the flicker issues with OLED, yet makes the whole point of OLED (vibrant colors and contrast) pointless.

Both Honour magic 6 pro and one plus uses BOE(BOI) Amoled panels and not samsung. Only difference is that magic 6 pro uses double the PWM Hz. BOE makes great panel's.

i’m surprised, but i am PWM/High Brightness sensitive and have no issues with iPhone 15(not pro) and i don’t know why. It’s my first phone with OLED screen(my past smartphones HTC U11 and iPhone 11 and i used to low brightness without high PWM).I had heavy headaches while i testing iPhone 12/14 Plus after 30 seconds and blurs in eyes with Samsung S smartphones. My settings is Reduce White Point on 87% for indoors(usually 40-100% brightness), true tone on and dark theme. For outdoors RWP is off. Maybe it’s helps for someone. P.S. Im not Apple fanboy on 2015-2022 period i used only Android smartphones, and only one year with iPhone 11.

I am PWM sensitive and i have issues with the iPhone 15 screen and it gives me some headaches. I have used samsung s24 and it's the same. I haven't used a OnePlus or honour device so i can't say about that. But i know that iphone uses samsung panel and because of that it has this issue.

Damn Honor has done this and we didn't even notice

I can notice the shift and flickering very tangable with mints amount on concentration

have old huawei p30 , it is oled and nothing is better from 2020 till now related to eye comfortable using... only LCD panel can beat it

Brands like Apple and Samsung are playing with Human systems, they don't provide charger, inferior hardware, retina damaging display, that's why i always prefer Xiaomi ❤, Huawei is equally good too, even they all are Chinese.

Doesn’t make sense. You’re saying they don’t provide inferior hardware, which they don’t. But what you mean is that they DO provide Inferior hardware, which they don’t.

I don't think this video was the most accurate way to measure the difference but it doesn't matter.

What about vivo x100 pro?

Notebookcheck results show Honor Magic 6 Pro uses PMW 360Hz constantly. On the other hand Samsung Galaxy s24 ultra results show a constant 480Hz. Is 4320Hz only marketing and not true?

Under 30% brightness the honor uses 4320 hz. Watch the video, difference is clear.

Please test iqoo z9 and poco x6 or any midrange phone with oled or amoled screen 🙏

iPhone frequency is perfectly synchronizing with the 60Hz (60 * 8 480) flickering of the room light. The others is not ;) So fools, who wins?

You are living in 20th century? LED lights work on constant current they do not flicker. Are you still using Halogen/Incandescent light bulb ?

OnePlus 11 uses samsung panel, But in the latest phone OnePlus 12 it ditched the Samsung and used BOE (BOI) panels. Honour magic 6 also uses the BOE panel which is why they perform better.

What about Nothing Smartphones?

To reduce brightness in the AMOLED display they flicker black lines to do it. For LCD display they can dim by changing Voltage for the display

The iQOO 12 uses the Samsung E7 AMOLED panel, so the same problem as the Samsung phone faces.

Honor 90 is the best. It has the best display for eye 👁️👀.❤❤❤❤❤

See the resolution of the phone when compared with other phones. Less resolution less battery usage and honour is really good for eyes and even other features like camera, display, speakers are good.
