The GRCS with the visor plate attachment seems as though it would take heavy shock loads better, the smart winch is relying on the strap and rubber bumpers only. I have found the GRCS without the visor plate, isn't sufficient for heavy rigging and lifting. I want a smart winch but the lack of that upgrade/feature is a deal breaker for me.

All of these devices can be ‘cut in’ to the trunk. Do you know what that is? Simply cut a section on the outside of the trunk for the body if the device to sit in, and importantly for the top of it to butt against when rigging big loads. The visor plate is a great idea but for me is not a deal breaker.

@@softbankhawks77 one strap is just so silly why not have two straps with a 12inch space between them and no need to cut any stupid slots or any of that rubbish in the tree just strap it up and off ya go
