You're correct. You shouldn't be able to operate the soft top while moving. Obviously that feature was over ridden. Image if it was activated while on the freeway at high speed. Not good, not good at all. Probably ruin the seals in the tonneau cover lift cylinders if you're lucky not to rip them out of their mounts completely.

I got to the bottom of this in the meantime. In the US it is legal (works up to ~60Km/h), in Europe it is not, or at least in those places I am aware of. You do see them opening up in many US movies...

Interesting. I thought the R129 roof could not be operated if the car is in motion. But I am relying here on what I believe to have read like 20 years ago, so I very well could be wrong.

It cannot, It is a mod to the controller, works at low speed and with the key fob.

Hell, I'd be happy if my soft top worked! lol

The back lid does not close when I shut the soft top. Any idea to solve this problem?
