1. Syllabus term by term 2. Good booklist 3. Knowing trend of Questions 4. Topic wise notes clarity with notes 5. Weightage not disproportionate, as per marks assigned in PYQ 6.Test series again n again with schedule again n again.(VVI) 7. Test series score improvement target. 8.PYQ Analysis. 9.Attitude matters and have faith in yourself. 10. Luck factor only for those who tried their based. 11. Don't listen to random people , remain understanding on your on efforts. Learn from mam's advice n experience.

Sir test series pure syllabus ka hota hai yaa topic wise hota hai?

This year's upsc exam was my first attempt and what I realize that...I have put way too much emphasis over the prelims and didn't read for mains and I failed. I went before too many resources and in the end not able to recall all of them...that was my second big mistake I got overconfident with the test series marks n loosen the grip over the studies in the last days when I needed to put most of my efforts...I failed. And as you said...I have listened way too much from others...which created a paradox in my mind. Now I am going to be mains oriented as it is going to make things clear n easier to understand the questions in the pre with proper schedule, daily targets weekly test series...many more.

Read when they out Make short notes of relevant topics. Relevant topics can be figured out by looking at syllabus. Revise them at the end of the month.
