As it pertains to "Smart Phones" in particular, one thing that I try to get some people to understand is that they were literally designed to addict you to them via Operant Conditioning and schedules of Intermittent Reinforcement. In essence, their design is no different than that of a slot machine, Video game developers admit this openly as the same psychological principles were employed in terms of entangling people in their web as well. And ultimately, the internet itself is largely designed on this same principle as well. And, well, look at the results and how people's behavior has been modified in a rather short period of time. I haven't even gotten to that part of the video yet, but figured I'd add that just because I thought it was worth doing so. I could go on and on but won't. Anyway, thanks Marty. I enjoy your content as an older INFJ (58) who doesn't really spend much time in the "INFJ YT spaces" anymore, as it were. I run a private practice and I have much better things to do, you might say. LOL

This reminds me how Pac-Man itself from the 80's was designed precisely to appeal to female audience, and even then they had to finetune the formula (Mrs. Pac-Man and derivatives...) Another thing is, as a child I was often exposed to video gaming, since my parents had to work so much and my grandparents (though I know they loved me - still in the flesh) didn't know how to raise a child interactively and with their whole being, so they left me to my better judgement and impulse control. They were lucky (an I was too) that I've grown up as a well-rounded individual, but nonetheless, it was not wise at all! Video gaming is one of the main defining parts of my past, and although I'm still fond of doing a round once in a blue moon (mainly ones that require and develop spatial dexterity, perception and reflex - can be aggressive a bit, but not violent, as these are actually different qualities!) and I digest some trivial info coming from the market, it has no true relevance to my overall decision making process. And I'm proud of that, as I've come a long way. (This area is what had brought me closer to this particular language also, as it is not my innate one.)
