1 correction... Don't shove the wire back into the hole. You are supposed to loop the wire in that circle on the plate. If you shove it inside the hole, it will get caught on the mechanism and the wires will wear through after a while.

I am watching this strictly for the lock :)

I picked up two of these Locks and have had a couple of strange things happen after a few days. After a few days my finger prints had to be reprogramed a second time because the memory or lock seemed to erase it. The other thing was I shut the door kinda of hard and the Cover on the lock flipped open and exposed the key hole. I tried to flip it close and it would not click or close at first. Id say its really too early for me to give an overall opinion since these locks were each about 200 bucks/piece. I Have them installed and the best way to Open in my opinion is using your phone app to OPEN or CLOSE and maybe Shake or you could use a Code. Finger print hopefully will continue to work. Thanks for a really good and Honest review I subscribed and will more than likely watch future videos.

Thank you SO much, Anika, for the information about this lock (LOQ?,) and the great video. It has the features I've been looking for, and are not included in other locks. Now, I just wish it would come in a brushed nickel finish. Perhaps you could use your feminine wiles on them to include that option. Still, I am going to sign up. I'll let you know when I get it. How do I access a date with you

This is exactly the kind of smart lock that I've been looking for for the past year. Putting in an order asap. My one concern, Can I control this lock through my OWN systems, NON-cloud? I am a Network / Infra Admin. You can talk nerdy to me. My plan is to setup an API call system that can send coded commands to the lock instead of a cloud based system that does the same thing. Its an awesome tool, but I don't want a company having data sets of when I am home or not. A convenient tool shouldn't mean that I loose my privacy. Also, Anika... OMG it is awesome to see an attractive female doing these tech videos. Usually it's some heavy set guy in his garage. Keep up the good work.

I have this lock its cool but I just hate when you have the door open it will lock so in order to close the door you will have to unlock the lock. For some reason it dose not have a sensor that detects if the door is open or closed

Does the app have an Apple Watch counterpart? And would the Bluetooth from the Apple watch work with the lock? I ask because I go for runs with just my Apple Watch, leaving my phone at home. It would be great if when I got home the watch would unlock the door.

Can users be assigned to multiple locks once they are added, or do you need to set up the same user over and over again for each lock?

Does the physical deadbolt knob stay locked until a finger print or signal is sent out via phone?

Can u do a review on ul1 combo with a dead bolts since you only did a review with ultra lock ul1

Hi I would like to install it in Kolkata. How is the quality of the deadbolt provided? Is it sturdy enough compared to say. a Yale one? I have seen quite a few reviews complaining about the difficulty of manual installation. Considering I won't get any customer support from Ultraloq do you think that is true? Thanks

Ya, there isn't that much room to coil the wire inside the lock where you connect the cable. If you are handy can you drill out a space inside the door hole? If it's a wood door i guess you can do that :)

An installation and general use guide is nice, but I would have loved to hear about the pros and cons as well as how it compares to other smart locks. The attractive girl is a nice distracting touch, but I think I'll stumble back over to Security.org for more in depth reviews. Maybe your next video I stumble upon will better answer my questions and concerns...

I read you can't re-key this so you'd have to use their keys on their cylinder.

hello, great video! And I'm buying. Just 2 questions: - the metal rod (inside center of lock which goes into door), can it be replaced by a "longer rod"? Because my door is thicker. And usually I just take out the short rod and stick in a longer rod. But I can't tell, if that rod you got there is soldered in (meaning I won't be able to replace it by longer one)? - if I put the *Lockout* status, inside the App: can you confirm if it will still be possible, to turn the black big button (inside the door)?? Or will this big black button knob become disabled? Because you said that, once it's on "Lockout mode", the only option to lock/unlock would be by mechanical key. But, I was thinking: isn't the black turning knob not also considered "mechanical" (meaning it will still be opened, even though status is "Lockout")?. Just wondering. Thank you for your help.

We had one, and it broken less than 18 months. Good design but bad quality. We asked the company for a replacement, they only offer 30% to buy a new one and only send to USA. So disappointed. Will not use their product again. Maybe try Yale or Eufy.

What happens if the batteries die just as I'm walking away from my house? Will my house be unlocked for burglars?

You could install all these things and they will work for a couple of years until it's no longer compatible with your phone....or you can just reach into your pocket and pull out the key. So two years from now you will only be able to use the keypad or your keys it would seem. In two years you might not even be able to change the code anymore! Yey!

Is it possible to change the password (and/or fingerprints) without internet access turned on , on the phone? Because I wouldn't want their servers having my deadbolt pins when we have no idea how good their IT security is.. Remember Sonys loss of user credentials among others!!

bryman31 that’s what’s you get when you try to put a pretty face with your product you can tell she really didn’t know what she was doing like just reading from the app instead of just explaining it, she made many mistakes during the video and idk why could have just done a retake but I wouldn’t use her for a product review
