Are you sure its the pump? They are usually fairly robust. Could be the fuel shut off selenoid.

@@manbuilds1587 well no. I put a new low pressure pump on. Filter too. The tank had an inch of shellac in the bottom and the pump /filter was packed with crystals. Blew the 10 amp fuse. I took the low pressure feed off the metal line that feeds the high pressure pump. Lots of fresh fuel. Put it back together and the engine spins and spins. Nothing fire. Used a little either and the engine will run a few seconds. Then I took the high pressure pump feed to the gallery (to the injectors) drips. This car sat for 4 years in the Florida heat. I got the rebuild kit. Open to any suggestions. Is the shutout solenoid the one between the metal pipes right where the plastic low pressure fuel is attached, on the right side looking forward? Thanks

I will find a link for all the fuel system components & location diagram. I have a print out somewhere I will try to find again. I dont remember now, want to make sure I tell the correct one. Its called something different.

Here's a link that may help out a bit. Looks like the large selenoid on the pump is the fuel shut off & the other selenoid regulates the rail pressure. You probable did already but should check & make sure all return lines are clear from pump back to fuel tank & from injectors back to fuel tank. dieselnet.com/tech/diesel_fi_common-rail_control.php
