Din Joekhannaz I think saying that the dog was acting a fool is a little bit too harsh. The dog is playing with the boy, and is being intelligent and loving towards the boy, and is NOT "playing the fool!"

+Carolyn Nunes I think it's probably just a mistranslation, but I don't think it's harsh anyway. "Playing the fool" just shows the dog knows exactly how to have fun!

Blah Dlah I hope that you are right, in that it is a mistranslation. The word fool is not a nice word. The Bible tells us to not call anyone a fool...it is not a loving word... I think it is great that you have a positive attitude concerning this comment. You have a great amount of compassion towards others, and that is a wonderful quality to possess! Of course the dog is using his nose to find him. And yes, the kids scent all over the place. What's good about this is the dog is distinguishing new scent from old. Round 4. Went around him with other scents in the room. Kid trying to find hiding spot running around. Did not go upstairs but went past it twice. *GOOD DOGGIE!!!*

It's so lovely to see kid's and dog's getting on so well.

She is very smart Thank you for giving her so much love and caring. Very special people deserve pets.

I used to play hide-and-seek with our 16 year old visually impaired family dog when I was very young. She loved to play, but couldn't very much anymore because of her vision. But, since she had the house memorized and she had an excellent sense of smell, she was a master at playing hide-and-seek! Once I'd have my hiding spot, I'd call her name, "Here Daisy!" Happy and excited, she would come to find me, and then I'd love-her-up with hugs and praise. It was one of the last games that she could play - and she loved it.

Aawww I used to do that with my dog out at our camp, I would climb and hide in the big pine trees, I would have to circle many different trees then back track, omg this dog had such a nose... he was a shepherd collie mix... miss him so much....

He goes "what the heck " 😂 this is too cute ..too cute ❤

I remember playing this with my chihuahua Mikey and my mom would put him in the pantry for a few seconds while I hid and then open the door saying "go find Tesy, go find her!" and I would have to make it so difficult for him to find me. He was amazing at it. I remember when I laid stretched out on 3 chairs and under the dinner table and it took him approximately 5 minutes to find me. I felt so accomplished that day bc that was the longest it ever took him to find me. It was really funny watching and hearing him race through every room searching for me. I miss him so much but I will always remember the joys of playing with him.

I also do this with my pup, it's really nice seeing his reaction when he finds me cause he gets all excited and cheerful.

My old little grampa pup plays hide and seek with me like this! It's the funnest game ever! I crack up like a loon when Duke finds me because he gets so excited and leaps around to celebrate after he discovers me!
