Since founding OVG Real Estate in 1997, Coen van Oostrom (1970), entrepreneur and a champion of sustainability and smart technology in real estate, built the company into the largest commercial property developer and investor in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Europe. OVG is recognized for its sustainable development and innovations in the real estate sector by many international parties and received international prizes like the Corenet Sustainable Leadership Award and the H. Bruce Russel Global Innovator’s Award. OVG’s most recent development The Edge in Amsterdam is recently recognized as the ‘most sustainable office building in the world’ according to BREEAM.
Coen aspires for OVG to be game-changers in the real estate industry by challenging perceptions of what is possible in the built-environment.

    That’s awesome! What else could you do with ‘bulb over Ethernet’ other than knowing the hours it’s been used?

    @@yrazvi many other things: dimming, grouping behavior, alarming, connection to HVAC and blinds system (BMS), add sensors of any kind to leverage on the luminaires' grid in the building, generate Data, create hotspots. All can be managed via PC, app, web etc. PoE is simply the technology (IPv6) but usage can be really anything.

    Retrofitting on existing homes is very costly to homeowners. Calculated at 50k euro per home which incurs heavy monthly repayments through bills from providers or annual property tax. Many people will loose their houses and forces into stack and pack accommodation. What a sad future for our children.😢😓

    that great in all but two years ago my power bill was 40 bucks now it is 80 bucks for using 500,000 on tear 1 on A privet power Company and I am disabled , and do not qualify for their benefits
