Hey, My stop lamps got broken. I got new Cluster lamps....the only problem is that the cable also broke, and i can´t find the harness. Do you know where can I find the harness or the entire wire light cables? Thank you so much. I live in Germany, but no problem... i can manage to get the wire?

Have you managed to swap the front headlights on any smarts?

I’m getting “Brake lamps inoperative” error message on the display cluster. Does that mean it needs re-coding? Or is it a matter of getting a different bulb?

Do they need coding? I have the same smart as yours, with the bulbs taillights. The ones you are installing in this video are the first gen LEDs. So do they need coding? Or they are plug n play?

Someone stole my lights and took the harness, will there be any part of this piece? Thanks a lot

Hi, do you know if the High Level Brake Light is LED?

+Hummel1Achser I believe so but I don’t think it’s monitored by the car like the brake lights are. On the newer cars when you install the new LED clusters you have to get your dealer to update your VeDoc (MB online system) and then update the car.

Is there no need to code the LED tail lamps? I guess, if you do not code those lamps the rear fog lamps will not work. Please check it.

In some instances you don't need to code them and they work fine. Some instances you will get a brake light error when on sidelights only. If you have a new 2017 model like this one then you get a warning as soon as you start the vehicle unless you code it. However the warning is not annoying and easily dismissed.

@@cypriotflare yes, I get the error message about the brake light not functioning but everything works and I can dismiss the message. It’s really poor on Smart’s/Renault’s part to have to re-code the taillights. I’m sure if one wanted could file a lawsuit against Smart/Mercedes 🤔
