I’d get immune to that stuff and,in the storyline,I’d get revenge on everyone who used it against me and the closing credits would have the song ‘it’s my life’ as smallville lays a smoldering heap.

And that is why you aren't superman - revenge is weakness. Heroes don't do revenge. The power to forgive your enemies is a superpower.
