"Clark already did that" awwwww poor Tess, Im sad she had to die but her life for Clark's was her redemption. Her character is now at peace.
So THAT'S their explanation about how Lex doesn't know that Clark's Superman and why Tess isn't in the Superman mythos. It's sad that Tess died. She really was redeeming herself. And LuthorCorp becomes LexCorp...just like in the mythos too. Awesome scene. Thanks GEM!
I love how part of the building name broke off and now is LX Corp!
I was sooooooo happy when I found out that Michael was returning for the finale.
Why would they erase his memories!! :'( Now lex has no reason to be evil at all. He forgot everything!!
wait, that's a question... If Lex didn't remember anything about his life before that moment, how did he still become the villain of legend if all the experiences that led him down that path were erased from his mind?
The only thing I didn't like about the spectacular finale was how they effectively killed Lex off by erasing his memory. They had set him up to be the perfect villain and now all his memories and motives, all his hopes and aspirations are lost. He is no longer the Lex we had for 7 years, and that's a pity.
we missed u micheal!!!
Michaelllllllllll you are the best the unique the one the only perfect LEX LUTHOR
@tunapup1 What bothers me, though, is that if Lex forgets EVERYTHING, then he's a blank slate. It undoes every bit of character growth he's ever had, for good or for bad. If he's starting over, then really there's no reason he couldn't turn out good. Of course, there's no reason he couldn't turn out evil, either, but it seems kind of strange that they've erased so many of his motivations for becoming evil - Lionel is dead, he no longer has any reason to hate Clark... IDK, it just seems odd to me
RIP Tess.
I just pretend Lex still knows who clark is. I think it added more to their dynamic. I honestly didnt think this scene fit too well into the rest of the finale.
@tunapup1 Tess actually is in the mythos, as Lutessa Lena Luthor. But I get why they killed her, and I think she went out with a bang - great end for the character
Yea im sad she died she choose the side of Good im proud of her completely she reformed and began to redeem her self if only she was kept alive she could done so much good ughh!!
I know Cassidy Freeman warned us about this scene but I was seriously bawling my eyes out when it happened.
Welcome back, Michael.
Lex and Tess confrontation was the moment I was most looking for! Even more then seeing Clark in the Superman costume... SO WHY THE HELL DID SHE DIE? AND WHY LEX FORGOT EVERYTHING??? HE SHOULD'VE FORGET ONLY CLARK!!!
Lex corp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahh dont worry about the neurotoxin. Tess said it "paralyzes cognitive recognition" Paralyze could just mean unable to recall. Get some treatment at somerholt and our lex is back. I am sure he does to become president. People bitch about this yet it is so easy for lex to regain SOME memories to keep him evil and driven. He could get shot again like in season 7. No one thinks about the subconscious or deja vu. These could help lex also. In my movie they do. Lex is coming back around again!!!!
I've waited for this moment since the beginning of season 8... jeez what a dark scene, they did this brilliantly... with Lex on the scene, Tess never stood a chance!
@1122stardust What kills me is that this Lex Luthor is not the real Lex Luthor. This Luthor is just some, "Frankenthor" made with the best parts of Lex's destroyed clones.
@SuperGEM9S10 Tess is a combination of Miss Tessmacher and Mercy Graves (at least her name is). Her role might be that of Lena Luthor but the actual character of Tess isn't in the mythology.
Maybe the finally hasn't hit me yet, so I got a few questions.... So Tess really did find redemption, and knew she would be killed by seeing Lex, but she wanted to keep Clark's secret away from Lex... Tess "Its too late, Clark already did that..." what does this line mean thanks so much :D
isnt tess suppose to be that lady who follows Lex around in the cartoons and movies? they could've kept her alive and just made her turn evil
@tunapup1 Tess is in the mythology
