Even though I'm a huge Clois fan, there are some things about Lana that have to be acknowledged. Even when she was truly angry at Clark, she never fully gave up on him. We as fans knew why certain things happened so it was easy for us to get mad at Lana's actions. But see Lana didn't know the information that we did, in her mind Clark stopped loving her, didn't care about who she was with anymore, and even when they dated was always detached. Yet through all that, Lana saw something that told her to keep hoping, she knew deep down there was more to Clark and she kept hoping someday it would all make sense. That scene where she begged him for the truth, that was Clark's biggest mistake in this relationship. Lana was telling him point blank, i just need a reason to stay and the moment you give me one, I'm yours. He was to young to see what he was doing. It's not a mistake he makes twice however. Lois basically puts him in the same position and he tells her everything.
