Superman returns is fine, it was created in the image of the original superman movies, its not the creators fault people only care about action and not about morals this generation. Original superman movie had NO action either yet people still loved it

It succeeds because it recognizes that Clark Kent, his life growing up, the human parents who raised him, and the people who grew up with him and helped to mold and shape the man he would become, is what make Superman, and not the other way around. It is the only story line I have ever seen that attempts to integrates Clark and Superman into one whole person rather than “super hero” and “secret identity”, with the exception of the more recent “Man of Steel” movie, and it succeeds in that effort beyond any other.

The Candorians found a way to gain their abilities through turning the yellow sun red, in doing so fuelled them but took away Clark’s powers and making him human. Knowing that the tower the Candorians made was the reason the sun turned red the rebels destroyed the towers, therefore making the red sun yellow again giving Clark back his abilities and making Zod human again.

Kryptonians will be vulnerable and weakened to Green kryptonite, whereas blue kryptonite only removes their super abilities but can live as normal human. One kryptonian in the series wore a blue kryptonite ring to lead an ordinary life with his family.
