smallest lure catches 6lb bass

Спорт

With the water clearing it was great to get out searching for Bass, I wasnt disapointed as i landed the biggest Bass ive caught this Year !
Heres some of the Lures id suggest
My all time favourite- amzn.to/3iQDI1W - MEGABASS ZONK BACK ON AMAZON - be quick !
DO LIVE STICKS They are Back in Stock My favourite Soft Plastic- I fish these weightless
- lurefishingforbass.co.uk/osp-dolive-stick-white-6-inch/?aff=11
Best hook for dolive - Comically good sharpness ! lurefishingforbass.co.uk/owner-twistlock-hook-5-0-gary-yamamoto-spec/?aff=2&aff=11
IMA HOUND- I like the sardine colour , Like a disorientated Mackerel
lurefishingforbass.co.uk/ima-hound-125f-glide-sardine-20g/?aff=11
JIMS NEEDLEFISH- Night Fishing King in the current;
lurefishingforbass.co.uk/jims-handmade-wooden-needlefish-white-candy-20g/
IMA KOMOMO
125s - lurefishingforbass.co.uk/ima-komomo-125-bass-lure/?aff=11
My favourite colour is this one; lurefishingforbass.co.uk/ima-komomo-125-counter-pearl-bora-ob-18g/?aff=11
Also recommended this Kokomo 2 lurefishingforbass.co.uk/ima-komomo-2-90-cotton-candy-12g/?aff=11
PATCHINKO SURFACE LURE- lurefishingforbass.co.uk/xorus-patchinko-ii-bait-fish/?aff=11
SPITTING WIRE - lurefishingforbass.co.uk/whiplash-factory-spittin-wire-topwater-bass-lures/?aff=11
MEGABASS ZONK. . amzn.to/304ZnKC
FIIIIIIISH BLACK MINOW. lurefishingforbass.co.uk/black-minnow-bass-lures/?aff=11
Take your pick but no more than 28g really from the shore here.
YO ZURI MINOW. Try and get the original colour in black if you are getting all these top 10 lures;
amzn.to/2WiBP3W
J11/13. amzn.to/3h31oO7
The old fashioned classic - It still catches Bass and should be in your Lure box !
They are affiliated links which means I earn a very small amount for sending you there but it won’t cost you anymore.
Hopefully that helps as a lot of these lures have done well over the years.

    Those mackerel were certainly hungry mate!!! so many times we(As anglers) go with a set up geared in mind for a specifci species. But im losing count of the times ive watched mackerel and bass smashing bait fish in close to the shore early morning or evening and cursed myself for not having appropriate tackle/ bait to nail them. Hey ho,it makes us better anglers in the long run! :-)

    Great video, apart from the bass lure fishing, I liked the mackerel chasing in the bait fish. Never minded people taking mackerel for the table or for bait, but do object to those anglers that just waste the fish, personally I think there should be a limit on the amount you are allowed to keep and people who catch excess of the limit should put the excess back with a rubber gloved hand. Well done on the 6 lb bass and thanks for posting.

    Shimano Sedona 2500 I’m not really up on all the reels but I go with shimano as these Sedonas have been pretty bullet proof .mid range price and easy to adjust drag one handed . Greenish braid ? Not sure what one is on the reel tbh.

    Fished at hastings rock-o-nore today at dusk... no mackerel or bass but lots of big horse mackerel (scad?) !? at the jetty with a small metal lure - they were being hooked 10 meters from shoreline, took 4 home going to try and fry them / serve with soy sauce and rice, what are your thoughts on horse mackerel?

    Do you fish with barbed or barbless (or squashed barb) trebles? Going to have a go at spinning but coarse fishing I don’t have to deal with unhooking trebles.

  • @SaltwaterAngler

    @SaltwaterAngler

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yea I’ve been a bit slow to adapt but crushed barbs might be a good start , some of mine are and it does make a difference . You can but dedicated lure singles too. I can see the way Sea angling going and these trebbles will be a thing of the past with more catch and release. In terms of efficiency thought trebbles are excellent if a little damaging to fish .

    That sounds like fun ! Most of our suggestions in the lure videos on the channel are aimed at beach anglers as they are shallow divers. So many shads on the market now I’d usually default to black minnows, crazy sandeels, side winders from the kayak in deeper water but my knowledge from a boat is limited in the deeper water. Hope it goes well , tight lines Robin

    Hi mate, great content, I live in Hertfordshire and mainly fish for perch and chub using rods that are 5-20g, have been thinking about doing a trip with my 9yr old boy to the coast using small lures, would these rods be ok for mackerel and small school bass, was thinking of Hastings as it an easy drive and parking, do you think this would be a good place for beginners, sorry for all the questions lol 👍

  • @SaltwaterAngler

    @SaltwaterAngler

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi , I think harbours and river mouths are ideal or even some light line fishing of piers and jetty’s. The rocks and beach around Hastings not really suitable but the pier could be good with a 9 year old. Your rods would be fine if it’s not too rough and clear conditions.
