I spent 70 nights in a tent this summer bicycling from New York City to San Francisco. The impeller (fan) inside died before the 21st use. Needing to save weight, I just threw the unit away and dispensed with the hassle of a return. I did buy the larger unit (orange). It worked like a trooper and the larger battery could even charge my gps (bike head unit) in an emergency

I just discovered it, checked on amazon and my first thought was that the orange one is way to go 😅. But the idea is really great.

Another little thing I bought because of you. This, the Klymyt isolated and a chair (well, the chair was an Steve's influence). You and him give great advice, every piece is an improvement. Thanks.

Got one after watching your video. Love it for the compact size and no need to lug around the big one and "D" batteries!

It's a great little piece of gear. I picked one up after seeing it in one of your videos last year. It's great to hang from the top of my tent too for the light.

In the woods this week and loving sleeping on my big agnes sleeping pad. And it is super easy to inflate with the flextail pump. Bought both after seeing them on Dans channel. Thanks Dan.

Top deflates too. The rubber adapters are a bit fiddly for thermarest topo lux. But worth its weight in gold.

More importantly you don’t dump your hot moist breath into the pad reducing the pads R value in cold weather!

I don't know about the R factor but do know it's better for your pad to not fill it with the moist air from your breath.

@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism Thermal conductivity of air is 0,025 W(m.K) and water is 0,598W(m.K). If you put more water in air, it conducts better.

Airpads have better R when fully inflated. TinyP's motor gets warm and blows warmer air in the pad(also breath). Warm air will shrink when it cools. Top it up. Pump bag seems a better option.

Personally I would rather skip the light on it and bring an actual flashlight or lantern that I can swap batteries on. Otherwise I suspect it will need to be charged all the time if used in both roles constantly. Which means bringing a heavy battery bank

Should also be able to be used for soda bottles to keep the high pressure so the CO2 won’t escape. I don’t find anything like that.

I resisted you youngins and all your fancy gear. I been backpacking since the 70’s Camp 7 external frames and 7 pound tents. But when your thermarest don’t self inflate any more and you lungs can’t handle the huffing and puffing of inflating the pad with what God gave you then it’s time to break down and enter the 21st century and get yourself a tiny pump. Because the alternative is a pump sack and they just suck after a long day of going and down/ repeat on the trail all day. 😊
