From the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. It seems like a tiny jungle. Compliments to the lady from Brazil who has a passion for nature, which obviously is a passion for her country. I discovered bromeliads a few months ago in a big supermarket. Now I have grown to love them so much, I wish I had all colours!.

Been watching lots of garden videos to plan my garden and that's the way to do it. I'll be using more variety of plants in Florida but the layout she has is what I'm going for....lots of plants of varied colors, shapes and height all bunched in appearing random but grouped in layers to illustrate the variation. I did get a new idea from this video....I have a lot of stumps at $300-$400 if ground and I'm planning a natural environment like she has so there would be stumps in my soon to be "jungle". I think I'd like to try something like that with some stumps this spring, camouflage them and add bunches of other plants to blend it in. Gorgeous garden---glad she feels at home.

Wow. This is such a beautiful and inspiring garden. I can envisage creating just one of the displays shown in a protected place in my garden and enjoying it. That would be a nice small, do-able project. And... I love that water feature! The effort gone into affixing the plants to various structures, in a sympathetic way, makes a big difference. I tend to use whatever i can find as plant ties but going the extra length, like this gardener, clearly pays off. Thanks for sharing this lovely garden with us.

I'm in Cardiff would love to trade. I cultivate epiphyllum and caudiciforms. Also, sure you're familiar with Rancho Soledad Nursery in RSF, Jerry (RIP) used to always tell me to go find him unusual or large terrestrial bromeliads. He told me that would be the new trend , after spending 50 years as a Hawaii-Cali nursery op 😂. Of course I was young and dumb and didn't listen to his wisdom. 😖 I'm just amazed by this curation!!! It's amazing how large your plants grow there. Here in Florida Zone 8B I have to bring all mine in during the winter as we have freezes. One thing about Broms is they multiply pretty fast and don't require a lot of care other than keeping their cups full of water.
@StanTheObserver-lo8rx4 жыл бұрын
One of my favorite episodes...those plants are such easy care. Just be careful they don't get too much sun as one heatwave can scald plants that were doing fine. Over 90f here in California can be a setback .
