Kelsey is a DEFINITE W. I really enjoyed hearing her perspective. Yes, please have her back. Now, I want to give you your flowers (as you say). I have watched ALL of these Ren roller-coaster reactions, that I possibly can. In each and EVERY one, your excitement and appreciation for the man AND his music NEVER waivers. It is overwhelmingly apparent. You are a man of your word and you mean EVERYTHING you say. I just wanted to say, I appreciate YOU and EVERYTHING you do. Have an amazing day.

Great reactions! Diazepam is the generic name for Valium. It is not an opiate it is a benzodiazepine. It is an old drug used as an anti-anxiety medicine, tranquilizer, and skeletal muscle relaxer. It is long-acting and extremely addictive. It has lots of potential side effects and can be deadly when used with alcohol. Oddly enough it was used to treat alcohol withdrawal. It has been largely replaced with newer shorter acting benzodiazepines like lorazepam(Ativan), alprazolam(Xanax) midazolam(Versed) etc… it is still used for dental procedures to help people relax. It does not treat pain it just makes you not give a sh*t about it. Sorry for nerding out it is a hazard of being an old ER nurse. Very insightful dialogue with Kelsey! ✌🏻🫶🏻

My mother was on Valium all my growing up years after 11 Electra shock treatments. Then on Xanax and vodka when they took her off Valium. With women it collects in our fatty tissue and creates even more issues. Having a parent that has these kinds of issues is quite the roller coaster ride.

It happens during live streams! If you’ve opted into gifts and you’re active in the chat, when someone gifts memberships you have a good chance of getting one. It will expire after 30 days but you should totally renew - I think BP drops more member than non member stuff (even if it eventually makes it into general population at some point!)

Great reaction! Understand when someone is prescribed a lot of different medications for mental health issues easy to get confused as to what they are classified as--hence the concerns raised by Ren and today, by Kelsey.. Not to take away from Kelsey experiences, including her comments about medication, which she described with elegance and courage--that said, diazepam/Valium is not an anti-psychotic it is an anti-anxiety medication and is classification is a benzodiazepine. She is quite correct that people can develop a tolerance and a physical and mental health dependance including intense withdrawal symptoms. I wish her well and Black Pegasus appreciate all the folks you have shared Ren with. You are awesome, I am a psychologist and an enormous Ren fan who believes he is breaking down barriers of silence regarding mental health and heath issues-. His ability to convey these issues so deeply, to offer real hope and insight, humbles me.

As someone with ADHD, having someone say I do that to (disorganized, forgetful, etc) it was almost triggering to hear BP say that he has the back and forth of bipolar. Kelsey did a marvelous job of reminding him of the difference between something being an occasional problem versus the disability that comes with a serious mental condition. Andy Roo needs to watch Sick Boi, but they both need to watch Crutch ❤

And i beginn to ask me why no one reacts to one, for me, most powerful lines in the song. “… some people know me as hope, as the voice that you’re hear wenn you’re loosen the knote of the rope..” Tis is so powerful! Hop is the power witch could prevent us from committing suicide! Why no one talk’s about this line?

This song was in my opinion song from the mind of his deceased friend Joe... "Voices in my head/talking to the dead. Over the rivers and valleys below, it follows me back home, and it suffocates me...". "I wish I could move get up and walk right out of this tomb (Joe's own mind). At the end of the song as he does so often, Ren breaks the 4th wall to tell everyone about the night he lost his friend and speak to Joe directly, "I miss you so"...

I love that you added "How To Be Me" in this time! I personally would tell them at the start that Ren wrote it about his friend Joe. I know you do not like to implant on people. However, for this song; it does not ever tell you who or what it is really about. That info REALLY adds depth in my opinion. Thanks for the video. Edit: 33:30 Kelsey is a VERY bright girl with HEAVY empathy... She's been through "it" and gets people like Ren and Ren's music. A must bring back! I never really listened to Diazepam. Kelsey is very open when she wants to be but can also mask very well. Something about watching her watch and listen to this song brought tears to my eyes... 40:30 Kelsey and Andy are in totally different places. She is really trying to figure out where the song is going and giving her deju vu of times hopefully past her.

The fact that when i first started listening to Ren, not alot of ppl knew who he was and now his Sick boi album is NUMBER 1 speaks volumes about Ren, and his music. It's so abundantly powerful and the way he conveys emotion through his lyrics is on a whole different level than most musicians. I have gotten my husband and my children (teenage to 20s) into him and that isn't an easy thing to do as we all have far different tastes when it comes to music, especially Rap.

Great reaction, nice to see Kelsey's different viewpoint, and ofc always love it when Andiroo drops in. Just a little correction, Diazepam isn't an Opiate, it's a Benzo (benzodiazepine) in the same family as xannies (Ativan/Lorezapam) and such, but it is def addictive (It's been said the addiction is worse than opiates/heroin). It's an anti-depression and anti Anxiety drug, but can also be prescribed for sedation.

14:59 really hit me as someone with mental illnesses. The host posseses the ability to SEE us, which SO many can't! How can you explain to somone who lives in 2d to see in 3d???? Ren just did it....... I never thought it to be possible tbh. He just built an actual BRIDGE that I never knew could exist in the first place! Not even between a therapist and client. Wtaf. I've watched other reactions to "hi ren" and had a literal epiphany that people without mental illnesses may have this type of internal dialog too, but that maybe the "pendulum" Doesn't swing as fast, as hard or as severe? The amazing thing about ren is that he's had a foot in both worlds. He knows what it's like to have a healthy brain, then have that taken away, and for a extended period. He doesn't just peek through the window. He's walked in the shoes of multiple different disorders as someone's who's disease can attack the brain and create these disorders. I kinda feel bad for him because he had to learn very harshly how to cope with something we spend most of our lives building a mental defense against. (Since it's literally either cope or off yourselves, let's be real). But also I'm so jealous. I wish I knew with it was like to be normal. Idk if I feel worse for him being thrust into this "3d" world mentally unprotected and unprepared, or us who will never be cured of it and will never have our pendulums swing as slow and soft as those with normal brains.......... Maybe ignorance is a bliss in our case. Food for thought.

I'm not a member so I just got to see this. LOVED this reaction and had an epiphany.......BP you could easily become the godfather of youtube channels! If Andiroo added a sub-channel of reactions with Kelsey to his channel, I would so follow them. At first, I was also cheering for them to come back here but there's so MUCH more for both of them to see of Ren's. ie, Not sure if Andiroo has seen all of the Money Game videos but it would be nice to see him react to those and Kelsey would so enjoy other stuff from Ren like Chalk Outline, Humble and the like. As for your channel, I do miss folks like MixedbyBlitz and VetLyfe as well as others. I love you coming out with new stuff. OMG when I think of all of your work plus spending time with your family, my mind is blown. But, back to my epiphany, BP as godfather of youtube channels. (maybe it needs another title....LOL) BUT I look done my list of channel subscription list and I found so many of my favorites through you....I can never pass by a new JoeE. video and, just yesterday, I watched an old video of Ian Taylor's that you featured on and just love it. Whoo hoo, it's Andiroo! And as a bodaciously bipolar bae myself, I truly appreciate the inclusion of fellow kindred spirit, Kelsey. It's like the Black Pegasus version of Yin Yang, one dark, deep, and feminine, the other methodical, succinct, and male, yet together they're a complimentary whole greater than the sum of their individual parts. Also, soo totally relatable noticing Kelsey incessantly swing back and forth, her face a plethora of facial expressions, whilst the fuq boys remained stoically engaged, like two steadfast columns, giving support and functionality to the breathtaking power of the river betwixt them. (Ten bucks on odds that she never stopped jiggling her feet, keeping time to the random beat of her very own drum.) 💖

14:10 : as a adopted child of a bipolar (type 2) mother, like she said, it's a disability to have this kind. She had that way before i was adopted and she have treatment and therapy and with that she's can have a normal life as possible. Because everything in her life is a trap for falling into a humor's change for example. How many time my father said to me not to make mistake or bad thing or she gonna in full "Berserker" with me. This song resonate in me like a battle about my self-confidence problem, the voice telling me in not enough good for a potential woman i loved, for a good job, for choosing what i want in my life etc...This eternal dance like Ren said it's difficult but as he said with practice i succeded to improve.

Nice, I like the way she looked at it through eyes of someone that has Bipolar. I also like the fact the fact that she was honest in the fact that meditation stop working. That something I never knew. Thank you for sharing your truth & story. Thanks for spreading Ren.

One thing about this playthrough of Hi Ren that I took note of was that in the beginning when he is opera singing the light does not flicker, but at the end when he is opera singing they are flickering. Does this mean the opera voice is the voice that is suppressed? What I mean is that he starts with the opera, Ren's inability to speak, and then the first comprehensible words are from the demon. Then the last comprehensible words are from Ren and the demon can't speak.

The Greek mythological tale of Sisyphus is what she was referring to. He was sentenced to pushing a boulder uphill. The problem is, every time he gets near the top, the boulder becomes too much to bear and rolls back down the hill. It leaves just enough hope to make him think it's possible, so he keeps pushing that boulder up a hill, ever hopeful for eternity in the Underworld.

I was turned onto this channel because of Ren's work if I'm being honest, but I love the different perspectives shown in your content, particularly here. As a musician and someone who deals with chronic physical and mental health issues, I really relate to both Ren's music and the musical and psychological breakdowns in this video and on this channel in general. Thanks so much for sharing , creating, being a part of and supporting the musical community. I'm definitely going to check out more of your original content!!

This music creates a space where all kinds of people share their mental health struggles. Kelsey jumps to the meat of it so quickly and without drama. I'm 12 min in and she already has the punchline.

And to add to Kelsey's point about pushing the boulder up the mountain and it of course rolling right back down the hill the key to this battle is to eventually accept that this is the task before you. A job if you will. The only payment you will receive for this task is serenity and that in of itself makes life's journey a hell of a lot easier. Took me almost 15 years to figure it out but once I did my life sure got easier. My life's still difficult of course but now its a lot easier because instead of a boulder being pushed up the mountain I have turned it into a stone.

Diazepam aka Valium is an anti-anxiety medication, it's also muscle relaxant, which is why they give it to people intravenously if they are cramping from a seizure or something. It is also not an opiate, nor even an opioid of any kind. It is a benzodiazepine. Benzodiazepines are not classified as anti-psychotic, but giving it to someone who are on the verge of having a psychotic episode for a couple of weeks or so is supposed to be able chill them down enough so they don't spin away into full blown psychosis.
