Thanks a lot
There are some very slang phrases here that are extremely local to small parts of the UK. Even as a British person, I've never heard the term blustery or lashing rain, and very few people refer to an umbrella as a brolly. I don't think some of this language is useful for non-native speakers to learn given the chances of someone understanding them is very low, even if they are native speakers. That said there are some useful phrases here for very advanced speakers

Lucky you, Dave! You must be living in the only part if the UK where the wind never blows, it never rains, so you don’t need a brolly. ☂️

@@LearnEnglishwithHarry Theres a very passive aggressive comment. I did not said that 'wind blowing' or 'rain' or 'umbrella' are words I didn't know. Clearly if you had any respect for viewers you would take me on on the point I made rather than ad hominem strawdogs attacks. If you had experience as a professional language teacher or an experienced langauge learner you would know that learners want to use words they can use in conversation, not bizarre local slang from whichever corner of England you come from that 99% of English speakers don't know. Next time you reply try using reason and not your incredibly bad sense of humour
It's lashing.
It's raining like cats and dogs.
