I agree. Please show more small shop videos.
More shops more shops more shops!
Thank you for featuring my shop! You've been a big inspiration to me as I continue to learn and grow in this skill.

Hey Ben, I like your shop! I'm in Roy, Washington. Maybe someday we'll have to meet up. My shop in about 2/3 of my 48x48 shop building. The other 1/3 houses our RV.

@@tadwollopHa I avoided the comments on this video for a long time. I have a Shapeoko 3
While not all build projects are going to appeal to everyone, Shop tours are kind of like shop projects, it's always nice to see how other people do what they do, and how you might adapt it to your workflow
Hey Marc, thanks so much for featuring my shop, your channel is probably the first woodworking channel I ever subscribed to so its a real buzz to see my face on it.
Shop tours really help to build a sense of community. It feels like I’m dropping by for a chat with someone else who “just gets me”. Thanks Marc! And yes, please keep them coming!

So true!
I have a small shop and I love how each one of these guys came up with creative ways to make their shops BIG workhorses in such small spaces. I'll never complain about my less than 1 car garage space again. I vote for more shop tours.
That comment about the shop being a work in progress hit home. My wife often says I spend more time working ON my shop than I do working IN it. :D More shop tours, please!
Really like this video series, the best, most innovative ideas usually stem from "not enough space"..."not enough money".
I struggle every day with fitting out my newish shop. It’s 209sq ft (19.5 sq mrt). These tours help. Thanks to the presenters.
Nice to see an affordable shop. Most of the shops shown are equipped with tools that cost more than normal people could possibly afford.
Really appreciated this, thanks for sharing! Appreciated the fact that they’re all “normal” shops. No disrespect to the pros who have super expensive shops, but those videos can make woodworking feel unattainable to us mortals, so appreciate you sharing these and pointing out things you liked about them. Thank you!!
I like these types of videos. I think one can get some great ideas from them. The fold down CNC is pretty awesome!
Not really small shops, this guys are lucky.
My shop is an 8ft wide x 40ft long rail car cargo container. I cut windows and a door in it. I insulated it with 1" foam sheeting and furred it with flat 2x4s and lined the walls with pallet boards. I have a table saw, band saw, router table, lathe, and a mortiser. It's pretty narrow. I put everything on rolling bases and shift stuff around during use. The back half has my work bench and all my hand tools. I use my table saw a lot but mainly I use hand tools. The height is 9 ft so I compensate by storing stuff on shelves up above me. I've built lots of furniture and cabinets in that little tiny space. I can work in the heat of summer with just a small fan and during a cold winter with a small space heater.
Great tours of these small shops. I think I will ask the Smartwoodshop family to submit videos of their shops, but the theme will be shops using smart benches. I will link this video in my call-to-action video so everyone can see how easy it is to shoot a short video and describe their shop. Thanks for the idea.
I very much enjoy seeing what other people are doing with their space. More please.
Shop tours are great for picking up ideas and seeing how others deal with the issues we all face as hobby woodworkers.
Your introduction was understated by miles, your the king of shop builds, the shop build is “the” build. What happens in reality most put more into the build than actually producing projects. Most of us are ready thou And can’t wait to make a mess,
Its always nice to see how others utilise space in a small work area.
Kris: epoxy pour the floor. Expensive option but very effective, gives you a flat smooth surface... after you spend some quality time with a wire brush in your grinder going over every centimetre of the floor :) The concrete needs to be solid underneath it, though.
I like this idea! Nice to see average Joe short tours to get ideas instead of wading through 45 minute tour videos.
For a guy that is just finishing building (let alone setting up)his new small shop, this is great info and inspiration.
I could watch a hour of this. After 25 years I snapped ! Now I am building a whole new layout. Advice is free, I take all I can get !
Boy, I love getting a peak into other people’s shops! It’s like reading The Workbench Book, but live.
Definitely, please do more of these, my shop is spatially challenged too. Thanks Marc!
I love these series. My shop is 36x24 and honestly watching these types of vids have really helped me organize better. Just because you have space doesn't mean you use it well.

Glad you like them!
Who knew? I wasn't going to watch this, when it popped up in my feed; but then decided to when I saw it was your content. I'm glad I did. It's nice to compare and contrast with my 1/2 of a 2-car garage. I'd totally like to see some more shop tours. Even some more Small Edition ones. ** Proof that when you're a good content provider, people will watch regardless of how many times they've seen something similar.
Hey thanks for featuring my shop! Wish I put more effort into cleaning and setting up my shots! You mentioned that festool systainer and mentioned that even though I have a lot of budget tools, you can’t find alternatives for some things! That’s why I ended up getting a sawstop, a drum sander, and the infamous domino! Just can’t do some things cheaply.

I work in a professional cabinet shop and believe me it gets messy. We do take time to clean but getting into every nook and cranny is hard, not to mention the sanding dust from the day to day work. Keep on with what you are doing. If you aren't making a mess you aren't woodworking. I like to think that a clean shop is a happy shop. Having said that saw dust and wood chips are gonna a way to accumulate no matter how much you clean

@@jessevardaman6208 I really appreciate hearing that! It can be discouraging how dirty it gets despite my efforts. That said, I did record this video right after some lathe work, so it was a particularly bad time! Haha
I loved seeing these shops. It’s good to see how the regular woodworkers keep their shops.
Definitely do more small shop tours! It's hugely interesting and helpful for us sub-400 ft folks.
I enjoyed the different ideas that the woodworkers came up with for their shops.
Actually really enjoyed this. Won’t say my shop is better or worse than any of these. It’s far from perfect, but I love it! It’s inspirational to see others also loving their imperfect shops!
Always good to see how others organize their shops.
I like that one drawer scrap wood. Keeps the hording in control. Lol
I always love a shop tour and like you mentioned something my spark your interest and you can add it into your own shop. So yer bring on the shop Tours and maybe a few favourite tools people can’t live without. I know it’s ever tool but you get the drift. Dig your channel and it’s nice to see yours almost up and running
Finally got around to watching this video, really fun looking at all the different solutions from the US and AUS. Let's do more please.
Good stuff I’m in a 12X20 for 15 years it just devolves and evolves crazy as it sounds the shop is a living thing. I’m over here in KC if you are ever in the neighborhood.
Really great to see the small shops, the set ups and how they get functionality out of less
Keep the shop tours coming
I can't believe that I missed this video for 5 months 😭, I know I'm late to the party but YES more shop tour video's!!! As always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
More of these please and thanks.
I really enjoy seeing others' small shops. I am setting up some things in my garage and need all the ideas I can get for space saving, and um, money saving. Cuz that's a big, deep hole that's so easy to fall into. More please!
Loved these! I will also mention that the Gridfinity system is excellent for those with a 3D printer. It is amazing how much I use mine for all kinds of shop fixtures.
Very cool to see how everyone else is setting up their shops, great creativity! I always say there’s a lot of folks out there building way better stuff than me with way cheaper tools , and that’s a fact ! So thanks to New Zealand, Washington and Texas for the awesome tours . Obviously Marc, I enjoyed this !
that fold down CNC was pretty cleaver i was trying to think of a way to put on in my shop with out taking up a lot of space. and i would like to see more of this
Yes, by all means more shop tours please. The last one in this one really connected with me because I am planning on building a 12 x 20/24 shop for my backyard. I'm getting lots of ideas on how to lay it out. Thanks for these videos.
Thank you all for sharing! Very inspiring!

Ahh! I forgot to submit mine. This was fun, thanks Marc!
I LOVE seeing other peoples shops. Would love to see more of these videos.
Shop tours are helpful. Gives helpful hints on organization in smaller shops.
I always love to see other people's shops. Please do more. Thanks.
Yes please keep them coming Spags. My shop is 10 x 20 and not even slightly organized. Good to see other small shops and how they're organized
Keep showing the shops!
Hey Marc, I remember when you would work in your shop and turn on the live feed and interact with those of us that would find the time to tune in... remember? If I could ever get my shop up to speed, and have time to spend in there I'd love to do a video of it... one would be valuable as comedic relief in the shape it is in today, and I might get my woodworker man card revoked for some of the indecent violations I allow in mine today. Can't wait to see more shops!
For sure want to see more small shop spaces! I'm slowly working my way towards a shop makeover.
I really enjoyed these! It's always fun to see other woodworkers shops and how they problem solve to fit in their space!
Always love seeing how different people do things. Keep her goin
Definitely like seeing the small shops. I have a small shed that is way too cluttered with non-woodworking items, but have plans to clear it out so I can work inside instead of moving everything outside when I want to get something done
I just moved and am setting up my shop now. Layout decisions have been tough and I’m not even decided on anything. I liked this a lot
Definitely more shops!
It was fun and inspirational seeing these shops and I appreciated all the time the spent cleaning.
Liked it a lot. I'm struggling with layout and storage right now myself. Mostly I see large shops with expensive tools and it's nice to see smaller diy/hobbyists shops.
I really enjoyed the video, its great seeing the different shops that people work out of. Fresh ideas of tool storage, workflow and tool selections. Keep this type of video coming!

I'm fortunate to have a bigger space I'm going to use. I'd love to see some bigger shops and how to make sure I'm not wasting space
Thanks Marc. Really enjoyed the different shop tours. Could be a new segment for the channel, Shop Tour Tuesday.
I always look for shop tours for ideas. I was blessed with a 4 car garage when we moved (because of a wild fire) to north central Arkansas from N. Cal. (Yes Marc, we're neighbors now!, if you take in account the mere 6 hr. drive!) I pretty much built my shop (750+ sq. ft.) off videos from You Tube. Please keep them coming!
Agreed- more shop tours are a good thing. Be well
I love the small shop tours. I work in one side of a two car garage and I have to share that side with the kids' bikes, scooters, etc. I definitely got some good ideas from this video.
I dig it. I work in a single bay of a 3 car garage also, about 20' x 13'. I appreciate that I am not alone in stepping over and trying not to trip on shop vac hoses.
Enjoy the heck out of this content. Will have to submit mine at some point
PLEASE SIR, CAN I HAVE SOME MORE SHOP TOURS 🥺....love these kinds of videos
I really enjoyed that, another thumbs up for more of these tours.
Love the shop tours. It helps to inspire me to work with what I have….ok to dream bug as well.
Small? Those are huge! The space I have for woodworking/tool & timber storage is 4ft x 8ft with no windows and a door in the long side that opens into the space. Works for me though as I pretty much only do woodwork as a means to turn good timber into sawdust/shavings/firewood 🤣I am however currently looking at setting up a spare bedroom into a bookbinding/art studio and am always looking for inspiration on tool/material storage and woodwork shop tours are a fantastic source for that so YES PLEASE to more of them.
Love that scrap wood drawer. More shop tours please.
I go hunting for these types of videos, always looking for ideas to help with my shop.
I enjoy these shop tour type videos! I hope you make this a regular series!
Thanks for this one... would like to see more.
Id love if you made this a regular series. I’ve got a small shop stuffed with some big tools, but it’s functional. It’s had many iterations but finally pretty well set up. I think I may just submit a video to be in the running.
I always love shop tours. I currently have an amazingly large shop. Probably about 1200 sq feet. I struggle with using the space wisely though. So shop tours are great to watch to get an idea of better flow for my shop. I do also restore furniture. So I have about a 10x10 space with a removable paint booth/finishing room in it. It's spring loaded telescoping poles that hold plastic to the ceiling that creates a wall. I think it could be a great solution for someone who shares a shop with a car (disgraceful... LOL... JK). It would work great to keep dust out of the rest of the garage.
Like this approach , happy to see more
I agree with French cleats. I have a hand tool cabinet that seems to be constantly changing so I'm going to build a new one that will easier to adjust to my tool situation.
Tours are great. you learn good and bad from others efforts.
Great video for folks that need to live with small shops on a budget. I have a "pop up" shop in my garage that I think is very functional and I can still put my cars back in when I'm finished. (also forces me to clean up each time)
I'm still putting my shop together. Awesome to see what others have done!
I think we're all proud of our small shop solutions. For me, it's mobility and flexibility using casters. Please host more shop tours
I would love to see more shop tours, it makes me want to get out in my own shop!
Love shop videos especially small shops. Here is my tip on setting up a small shop: SKIP the miter saw station. It takes up too valuable space and makes way too much dust. My first shop was a 2 car garage and I had a miter saw station on one wall, but now I am in a 1 car garage and I decided I rather have more work surfaces than a miter saw station. As a compromise I built an fixed miter saw station outside behind the garage (miter saw is covered with a "weather tight" box).
Yeah, I really like seeing other shops, keep them coming!
These are great. Keep 'em coming. It's great to see people that you've seen on the KZread chat or FaceBook group and see what they are up to. Brought back memories of my start in a garage where I had to put everything away at the end of the weekend. I never felt limited by that!
More shop tours, I get a lot of new ideas from them.
I love this. Maybe make it a regular thing once or twice a year. I work in a shop right around 200 sq ft with a tree in a wall so this hits home with me.
Yes we need more!
I like seeing what other guys my speed are doing. Thanks.
This was great! More please!
I always love shop tours as you can always pick up new ideas (even if it's OK I don't want to try that)
That was great , hope to see some more
Absolutely would love to see more of these videos.
Enjoy these very much, thanks.
