As someone who played this version as a kid it is pretty funny to see this tas. Now I'm used to seeing the n64 version so I kinda forgot how the ds version played. The bits is so cool

As in full Analog Control? Yes! There's probably multiple ways but the one I've used is called ToxInput, it's not really a romhack it's something you run at the same time as running the game. There's some awkwardness because the game has some changes to accommodate the d-pad controls but I loved it anyway.

If you don't unlock Mario then beat the game with Yoshi, it's possible to just break the entire game and hardlock yourself by doing so. I learned that from Nathaniel Bandy lol
