I think people don’t really like to acknowledge Wendy because she doesn’t do powerhouse belts despite being 100% capable of it, she’s the best of her generation and one of the best in kpop and overall. Her technical skill is very well developed.

I feel like because she sings in a healthy way so that it will not strain her voice. You will know when a singer push their vocals, the notes sounds forced. But her way is to sing effortlessly, thats why she sounds so heavenly.

Exactly! She is the best or at least one of the best in her Generation and I hate how people don't acknowledge her at all and even though she doesn't really belt her notes she can keep her high notes going for like 10+ Seconds which is Insane, her Voice overall is just Phenomenal and people should pay a lot more attention to her and her skills!

OUR MAIN VOCAL IS BACK this song isnt even her whole potential its like 50% that highnote at the end is like a middle note for her jdskjs she really be playing with her vocals like that and "surfing" on the melody as if it was nothing T_T just me crying a river AGAIN

Finally!!! You have reacted to WENDY!! For me, she is the best female vocalist in KPOP. She is a hidden gem in kpop. Everybody loves her, especially the song writers, lyricist, producers, and directors. I am so glad that SM finally gave her the chance to flex her vocals and talent. The first time I heard her voice was about 2 years ago, it made me a hard stan. You can clearly hear how rich, pure, and good her voice is. Everyday, she gets better and better. Even after the accident last 2019, she continues to practice for her vocals to improve. She loves singing so much. During her pre-debut, she joins musical theatre and other singing activities in her school in canada & not to mention how proud her musical teacher is right now by showing Wendy’s MV to his whole class. She doesn’t only sing, but she delivers the message and emotions really well. Her voice is very clear. She is now dubbed by SM as “Goddess of Vocal Tone” in which we all agree. I am pretty sure that she will get BIGGER globally. I’m praying that for her cause she deserves it. You can give her any genre and she will turn it into masterpiece. It’s not even an exaggeration. Apart from his undeniable talent, her heart and personality are also as good as her vocals. Please support her. She deserves it. You’ll never regret. edit: many people like you haven’t discovered Wendy yet, it’s better late than never! Do you also know that she had a song with JOHN LEGEND titled “WRITTEN IN THE STARS”. I guess you don’t. That’s how bad her promotion was. That’s why let us help her. Thank you for discovering her.

Wendy's technique is in a class of it's own. She can sound like 8 different people and sometimes on the same track. If you listen to Red Velvet and you don't know who is singing it is likely Wendy 🤣🤣🤣 Her vocals take you on a rollercoaster while others may take you on a ferris wheel 🤣🤣🤣

I feel so bad for people that don't know the treasures that are every single member in Red Velvet...Please don't just look for popularity, talent it's what goes far not looks.

Wendy is very talented before she came to SM. I was shocked when I first watched her video singing Beyonce - Halo with her friends. So, SM has the best and trains them to be another level 😂.

Wendy is from heaven. She was an awesome vocalist even before SM. Very short training before debuting in Red Velvet. She even sang an OST while being a rookie. We are just happy to have her back after the terrible accident.

wendy is an amazing vocalist, her range is insane (4 octaves, iirc), and she can basically change the tone of her voice to fit the song (listen to butterflies by red velvet to hear the difference!). plus she has incredible agility.. such a shame u guys didnt hear much about her till now but it’s never too late to appreciate great singers! loved ur reaction :)

SM is the Motown of Korea. Their artists can do it all and sound freaking phenomenal while doing it. You only hear those vocals, but Wendy is also a beast performer. Her dancing is much better than she's credited for. I hope her next comeback she gets to show off her vocals and performance skills.
